Small Market Account Executive

About the role
As an Account Executive you will be responsible for managing deal cycles from generation through to close. You will be the primary contact with the prospect and have the responsibilities of, qualification, demoing, providing technical assistance, and negotiating contracts. We look for people who are curious, confident, and have a high technical aptitude. As an AE you are accountable for the plan to hit your goal and will enjoy the full assistance of the company to make you successful. You will be surrounded by a great team of people from whom you can learn from, that said, we also want to learn from you. Most importantly, we want entrepreneurs.
What you get to do every day
- Work full cycle deals from demo complete to close.
- Research and target companies using prospecting tools.
- Build and manage a pipeline.
- Learn and demonstrate our platform to new prospective customers.
- Negotiate contracts
- Record and document all sales activities in Salesforce.com.
- Successfully utilize all sales tech tools.
What you bring to the role
- You have at least 2 years of work experience in a sales role, preferably at a startup
- You have a demonstrated track record of exceeding your quota
- You love closing deals and helping businesses by delivering a product that has concrete value
- You're solutions oriented- you recognize objections and help your customers see value in our product regardless of their knowledge of our industry
- Extraordinary communication and interpersonal skills — people trust you and get the sense that you are advocating for something in which you believe
- You have experience working with high-velocity sales cycles or selling to small businesses
- You're resilient—you bounce back from setbacks quickly, are resourceful, and find creative ways to get things done
- You're comfortable with a wide range of sales tools, including Salesforce or other CRMs
- You have a passion for solving big problems and having an immediate and positive impact
- Ability to embrace feedback and hold yourself accountable.
- The ability to learn technology basics and apply them to business situations.

- Our new office in Lindon, Utah
- Hybrid role: working from office 4 days per week

Compensation - At Human Interest, there are a number of factors that are used to determine the appropriate pay range for each position. We take into account the cost of labor for each position in various markets across the US. The base salary for this position spans $68,000 - $70,000 and represents the minimum in our lowest geographic region to a maximum in our highest geographic region. The salary that we offer to a new employee within this range is based on their location within the US, their relevant job-related skills, and experience. At Human Interest, base salary is one component of the overall Total Rewards package. This position will also offer a variable target of $50,000.
