Utility Driver - Day Shift

Utility Driver
The primary purpose of this position is to be responsible for the loading and unloading of all rail cars and bulk tankers, at the Cottage Grove East Facility during their shift coverage. In addition this position handles waste material and products associated with the disposal operations.
Primary responsibilities include:
Move and spot tankers as necessary
Load and Unload rail cars, bulk tankers, box trailers, pump drums, dump drums, 50-100 LB sacks and supersacks, and make tank to tank transfers according to established SOP’s.
Handle waste material and products associated with the disposal operations.
Fill out the daily and weekly inspections check sheets as assigned.
Complete prism tasks for material transfers move tickets, material usage, prism logs, and work orders, raw material inventory, produced inventory, and ensure compliance to PRISM and ISO 9001:2008 SOP’s and documentation as directed by the shift supervisor.
Fill out all vessel batch logs, reports, manifests, check sheets, etc. as assigned.
Operate processes (adjusting variables such as temperature, pressure, feed rate, sampling, etc.) in accordance with SOP’s; notify shift supervisor of deviations from the SOP’s
Recommend changes in SOP’s and process-related equipment.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Production Supervisor.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Class A CDL required with acceptable Motor Vehicle Record; with Hazardous and tanker endorsements.
Warehouse experience preferred.
Forklift operation experience preferred.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.

SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER
The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical engineering support to meet Hydrite’s continuous improvement objectives. This includes leading the identification of process improvements and the management of those projects through completion. The improvements are focused on cost reduction, cycle-time improvements, capacity generation, and efficient use of utilities, make-versus-buy determinations, material losses and waste minimization.
Primary responsibilities include:
Investigate, evaluate and implement process related cost saving improvements such as waste reduction, cycle-time reduction, lower cost raw material qualification, scale-up, and shelf life improvements.
Investigate, evaluate and implement process related cycle time improvements such as batch process time reduction, continuous process throughput increase, pre/post-batch cleanout time reduction, and quality improvement intended to accomplish capacity generation.
Investigate, evaluate and implement site energy reduction and/or sustainability improvement opportunities.
Work closely with Operations and Central Engineering to accomplish team based goals and objectives.
Works with other team members to maintain workload balances. Provides back-up support as necessary within process improvement and central engineering teams.
Participates in new business assessment and implementation as needed in support of Technology group. This includes investigation of methods, equipment and processes required to manufacture new products as well as feasibility, costs, capital needs and initial pricing.
Support internal and external process engineering related inquiries including customer visits as needed (requiring infrequent travel).
Provide concise, accurate, and timely information as requested or as required. At a minimum, provide written status reports on assignments on a monthly basis.
Provide guidance and support to junior Engineers and Process Improvement Engineering co-ops and interns.
Support improvements by participating in PHA/MOC process and providing written direction, training and support.
Coordinate contractors and their activities as needed.
Supports effective communication with all Hydrite departments where responsibilities overlap to ensure success of the branch team.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Plant Manager.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or equivalent is required.
Minimum 7 years of applicable experience required.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of Power Point, Word, and Excel required.
Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.

PLANT MANAGER

The Plant Manager is a key driver of operational excellence, workforce development, and innovation.
Primary responsibilities include:
Ensure strict compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards across all site functions.
Develop and implement long-term operational strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
Oversee the execution of production schedules, ensuring alignment with company objectives and customer requirements.
Lead, mentor, and inspire plant management teams to achieve high performance and professional growth.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation across the workforce
Manage the plant’s budget with a focus on cost control, resource allocation, and financial performance.
Drive data-driven continuous improvement programs aimed at optimizing operational processes and reducing waste.
Oversee maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability and plant uptime.
Develop and oversee Process Engineering activities and personnel to maximize system performance.
Collaborate with Commercial and Project Engineering teams to identify and execute site’s growth projects, capital management, and construction management strategies.
Communicate and present site objectives, activities, metrics, and progress to members of company Sr. Leadership teams.
Lead site’s Emergency Response Protocols and participate as an Incident Commander or Responder if necessary.
Participate in training for purposes such as understanding site operations, staying knowledgeable and current on relevant regulations, and enhancing leadership skills.
Participate in or lead Safety, Regulatory, Quality, and Customer audits.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Director of Operations.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field required.
Minimum of ten years of chemical production experience required.
Minimum of five years of chemical production management experience required.
Continuous process supervision and 24/7 Operations experience preferred.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of Power Point, Word, and Excel required.
Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit and/or stand up to 10 hours per day.
Ability to climb ladders and stairways up to 30 feet in height up to 10 times daily.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Several times daily.
Ability to wear a respirator for up to 4 hours a day. Please refer to the SOP for facial hair guidelines.
Due to safety concerns, the wearing of contact lenses is prohibited
