WAREHOUSE OPERATOR
The Warehouse Operator is responsible for safely performing shipping, receiving, warehouse functions, and production support in a chemical manufacturing environment. This role ensures accurate material handling, production of finished goods, order fulfillment, cleanliness, and adherence to company safety policies.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Active contributor and leader of Hydrite’s Safety Vision, Mission and Values.
- Provides consistent, safety-focused support for all shipping, receiving, and operational functions.
- Receive incoming materials and verify contents and quantities against purchase orders.
- Load and unload materials from trucks using appropriate equipment.
- Inspect, package, stretch-wrap, and band shipments to ensure proper labeling and secure transport.
- Prepare and document outgoing shipments.
- Unload bulk raw materials and intermediates into designated storage or packaging areas.
- Pull inventory for customer orders based on pick tickets.
- Store finished goods and raw materials.
- Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Operate equipment to mix and process raw materials.
- Maintain clean work areas using appropriate equipment.
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely.
- Operate digital scales accurately.
- Follow company safety protocols and chemical handling procedures.
- Communicate effectively with team members.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
- This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous warehouse experience recommended.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office, previous ERP experience a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
