Manufacturing Operations Supervisor

About the Role:   

The Manufacturing Operations Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient production processes, optimizing resource utilization, and maintaining high-quality standards. This role plays a key role in driving continuous improvement, safety compliance, cost control, and meeting production targets.

In this role, you will:   

  • Manage and supervise the daily operations of manufacturing, ensuring production goals are met or exceeded.
  • Coordinate with planning, quality, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow and inventory control.
  • Develop and implement production schedules, staffing plans, and capacity planning strategies.
  • Orchestrate smooth and efficient transition of workflow from 1st to 2nd shifts
  • Lead and coach a team of team leaders, and production staff.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as yield, downtime, and labor efficiency; identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Safety Manager to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance planning in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Manufacturing to reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Provide input on production budgets, analyze variances, and implement cost-saving strategies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and performance.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with employees and department managers.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations and/or supervising roles
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, communication, and people skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to professional integrity.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hand-on management role.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
