
Senior Medical Science Liaison (US Southwest)

Position Overview
The Senior Medical Science Liaison (Sr MSL) serves as a field-based scientific expert responsible for developing and maintaining peer-to-peer relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), academic institutions, and other healthcare professionals in oncology. The Sr MSL provides advanced scientific and clinical expertise to support products across the portfolio, ensures appropriate scientific exchange, and contributes to the strategic medical plan in alignment with corporate objectives and compliance standards. This role requires deep therapeutic area expertise and strong knowledge of clinical research and evolving treatment paradigms.
Responsibilities
- Implement KOL field strategy, including KOL identification and engagement
- Develop and maintain long-term scientific relationships with KOLs, investigators, and other key healthcare professionals at academic/community centers
- Serve as a trusted scientific partner through non-promotional, evidence-based discussions
- Present complex clinical, scientific, and outcomes research data to diverse healthcare audiences
- Identify and communicate field insights to inform medical and clinical strategy
- Partner with medical affairs, clinical development, market access, and commercial teams to align on strategy and ensure compliant execution
- Execute conference strategy, including staffing of scientific booths at major conferences and regional meetings
Qualifications
- An advanced degree preferred (MD, PhD, or PharmD)
- Bachelor’s degree in health science required
- A minimum of 3 years of MSL experience supporting Oncology
- 50% regional travel required
Knowledge and Skills
- Advanced scientific acumen and ability to interpret complex clinical data
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate field insights into actionable medical strategy
- High level of autonomy and ability to manage a large geographic territory
Washington State Pay Range
$210,000 - $230,000 USD
