You’ll work closely with our international Finance, HR, and Ops teams, acting as a trusted expert for all things payroll. This role is ideal for someone who’s experienced, detail-obsessed, and confident working independently across borders. You’ll support countries like Malaysia, Singapore, China, and Australia, with opportunities to grow your expertise across more regions as we expand. If you love making complex systems run smoothly, thrive in a global team, and want to play a key role in supporting our people, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the day-to-day end-to-end payroll process for multiple APAC countries (Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, China, Japan) ensuring payroll is processed accurately, on time, and in accordance with local requirements.
  • Take ownership of payroll issues through to resolution and proactively identify opportunities to improve
the efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of day-to-day payroll processes.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation, following established payroll processes, controls, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Support statutory payroll requirements and submissions, ensuring relevant deadlines are tracked and met.
  • Provide clear and responsive payroll support to employees, resolving queries within agreed SLAs and prioritizing urgent or time-sensitive matters.
  • Prepare and review payroll reports, payment files, reconciliations, and other payroll documentation required for each payroll cycle.
  • Work closely with payroll vendors to provide accurate inputs, review payroll outputs, follow up on issues, and ensure agreed payroll timelines are met.
  • Coordinate closely with HR and Finance to ensure payroll data is accurately reflected between Workday, payroll software, and payroll accounting.
  • Perform payroll checks, reconciliations, and variance analysis to identify and resolve discrepancies before payroll is finalized.
  • Collect, review, and process payroll inputs including new hires, terminations, salary changes, bonuses, commissions, benefits, deductions, and banking changes.

What You'll Bring:

  • 3+ years of payroll experience, ideally with exposure to multi-country payroll across APAC.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential payroll and employee information.
  • A proactive and positive working attitude, with a willingness to learn, support the team, and look for practical ways to improve processes.
  • Experience with payroll software and good working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets, including reconciliations and data checks.
  • A strong sense of ownership and accountability, with the ability to follow tasks through to completion and escalate issues when needed.
  • Responsive and reliable, with the ability to manage employee and stakeholder queries within agreed SLAs.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a clear sense of urgency around payroll deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work confidently with payroll data and identify discrepancies.
  • Good understanding of payroll processes, statutory requirements, and payroll timelines.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
