As the VP of Marketing & Market Development, you will be the strategic leader driving Impinj’s brand visibility, market expansion and customer engagement in the Internet of Things (IoT) space. We are looking for a visionary, results-driven leader with deep technology expertise and the ability to connect vision to execution. You will lead and evolve our global marketing team, shaping strategy and execution to establish Impinj as the most recognized name in IoT.
What You Will Do
- Develop and execute a comprehensive, scalable marketing strategy that accelerates business outcomes and elevates brand recognition globally
- Oversee all facets of marketing including product, solutions, digital, and channel
- Analyze emerging markets and technologies, develop market entry strategies, and establish strategic partnerships that unlock new growth
- Drive external initiatives that connect technology vision to market opportunity, translating innovation into impact
- Manage strategic alliances within the IoT ecosystem to expand market reach
- Leverage market insights to shape strategy and go-to-market plans, partnering with Sales, Product Management, and Customer Success to ensure alignment across all ecosystem touchpoints
- Design messaging and demand generation campaigns that connect enterprises and brands to Impinj ecosystem partners
- Evangelize emerging technologies, trends, and use cases to position Impinj as a leader in our chosen market segments
- Represent Impinj as a visible spokesperson at industry events, conferences, and media engagements to enhance thought leadership and brand influence
What You Will Bring
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in B2B marketing, product management, business development market development
- Proven ability to quickly understand and apply emerging technologies to business strategy
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related field
- Deep technology expertise combined with strong business acumen and strategic thinking
- Demonstrated success driving brand growth, global expansion, and new market creation
- Strong understanding of complex B2B customer journeys and ecosystem-driven markets
- Proven ability to build and lead cross-functional teams that drive collaboration, innovation, and execution across the organization
- Expertise in scaling marketing organizations through growth and transformation
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder influence skills
- A global mindset with direct experience in international markets and distributed teams
Compensation & Benefits:
The benefits listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Impinj and the country where you work.
The typical base pay range for this role across the US is $225,000 - $360,000. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. US based employees have access to healthcare benefits; a 401(k) plan and company match among others.
