Team Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Facilities Manager to lead our facilities management functions globally. That includes our Seattle locations at 400 Fairview and Beacon Hill and our sites in San Diego, Brazil, Finland, and Asia. You'll lead a team of three, own the facilities budget and compliance programs, and keep our offices and light manufacturing operations safe, compliant, efficient, and ready to support the business as it grows. This role is on-site at both Seattle locations, with occasional international travel (approximately 10%, typically 2-4 trips per year).

What You Will Do:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of three: a Facilities Engineer and two Facilities Coordinators. You'll set priorities, goals, performance expectations, and give each person a clear path to grow
  • Build team processes, service levels, and workflows so that requests, maintenance, and projects are handled consistently and transparently
  • Own facilities-related workplace safety compliance under federal OSHA and Washington State's DOSH/WISHA requirements. This includes written programs such as lockout/tagout, hazard communication, PPE, machine guarding, and emergency action plans
  • Maintain OSHA injury and illness recordkeeping, lead incident investigations and root-cause analysis, conduct regular safety inspections, and coordinate required employee safety training
  • Manage handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste in line with EPA, Washington Department of Ecology, and local requirements
  • Oversee building systems and infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, and life safety systems. Implement and run a preventive maintenance program through a maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Partner with the Facilities Engineer to make sure facility infrastructure meets the needs of manufacturing and lab operations, such as power quality, environmental controls, and CDA (clean dry air) equipment
  • Manage relationships with landlords and property managers, ensuring lease obligations are met
  • Oversee physical security and access controls, emergency preparedness, and business continuity planning for all sites
  • Own the facilities operating and capital budgets, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting on repairs, maintenance, and capital improvements
  • Select and manage vendors and service providers. You'll negotiate contracts, set performance expectations, and hold vendors accountable for delivery
  • Lead facilities projects from planning through completion, such as buildouts, moves, equipment installations, and capital upgrades, on time and within budget
  • Plan and manage space allocation across office, lab, and manufacturing areas to meet current needs and future growth
  • Set facilities standards across international locations. Partner with local site leads and vendors in San Diego, Brazil, Finland, and Asia to make sure each site meets local regulations and company expectations

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of facilities management experience, including 3+ years directly managing a team
  • Experience managing facilities that include light manufacturing, lab, or hardware production environments, not only office space
  • Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining OSHA compliance programs in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed dry air, fire/life safety)
  • Proven experience owning and managing a facilities budget
  • Demonstrated project management skills across multiple concurrent projects
  • Experience with CMMS or IWMS platforms
  • Clear, confident communication with executives, employees, vendors, and international colleagues across time zones
  • Ability to be on-site at both Seattle locations and travel internationally as needed

Purpose: At Impinj, we are committed to using technology to improve our processes while maintaining the highest standards of integrity and fairness. This policy outlines the permitted uses of artificial intelligence (AI) in our recruitment process for both candidates and our hiring teams.

How Impinj's Recruiting team uses AI:
1.    Interview Scheduling: AI-powered scheduling tools may be used to coordinate interview times between candidates and interviewers. This ensures a more efficient and convenient scheduling process for all parties involved.
2.    Skill Assessments: AI-based assessments may be used to evaluate specific skills relevant to the job. These assessments are designed to provide an objective measure of a candidate's abilities. Results from AI assessments will be considered alongside other evaluation methods to ensure a comprehensive review of each candidate.
3.    Interview transcription: With a candidate’s verbal consent, we may use AI to transcribe and summarize our interviews to reduce reliance on manual notetaking during an interview.

Candidate Expectations:
•    Preparation: We encourage candidates to use available resources for preparation. This includes conducting online research, engaging with professional networks, and asking clarifying questions.
•    Live Interviews: Candidates may not use AI to supplement their performance during live interviews, complete take-home assignments, or for sample work submissions, unless explicitly instructed or agreed upon by a member of the Impinj Recruiting team prior to the live interview or otherwise in advance of the assignment. We want to see your independent ability to think and perform.

Impinj reserves the right to disqualify candidates based on the necessary skills and qualifications for the role(s) in which they’ve applied. If a candidate is reasonably suspected to be using AI during without pre-approval by a member of the Impinj Recruiting team, the candidate may be invalidated for the role.

Voluntary Self-Identification

For government reporting purposes, we ask candidates to respond to the below self-identification survey. Completion of the form is entirely voluntary. Whatever your decision, it will not be considered in the hiring process or thereafter. Any information that you do provide will be recorded and maintained in a confidential file.

As set forth in Impinj’s Equal Employment Opportunity policy, we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected group status under any applicable law.
