Job Summary:

We're looking for a hands-on IT Field Support Technician to support our growing network of healthcare clinics serving Tribal communities. This role is critical to ensuring our clinical teams have reliable technology to deliver excellent patient care. You'll be on the front lines—setting up new clinic locations, keeping existing sites running smoothly, and solving tech challenges as they arise.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead onsite IT setup and support for new clinic openings, including networking infrastructure, hardware installation, and go-live preparation to ensure seamless launches
  • Provide responsive day-to-day technical support for existing clinic locations, maintaining system reliability and resolving issues quickly to minimize disruption to patient care
  • Support our mobile clinic operations by ensuring consistent connectivity, functional equipment, and reliable systems in dynamic environments
  • Collaborate with our internal IT team and Managed Service Provider (MSP) partners to troubleshoot complex issues, maintain technology standards, and align solutions with clinic operational needs
  • Provide coverage during clinic operating hours and participate in on-call rotations as needed to ensure support availability when our teams need it most

Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience
  • 2–4 years of experience in IT field support, systems administration, or technical services role
  • Prior experience supporting healthcare environments (EHR systems, HIPAA compliance, clinical workflows) preferred
  • Experience working with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and coordinating escalations

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, wireless configuration)
  • Experience setting up and troubleshooting routers, switches, access points, and cabling
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Microsoft 365 environments (Azure AD, Exchange Online, Teams, Intune)
  • Familiarity with imaging/deploying workstations, printers, scanners, and peripherals
  • Understanding of security best practices in endpoint and network management
  • Experience supporting VoIP systems (e.g., RingCentral, Zoom Phone, Teams Calling) preferred

Professional Skills

  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently in the field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with both technical and non-technical users
  • Reliable, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities across locations
  • Commitment to providing excellent customer service in a mission-driven environment
  • Ability to lift and transport equipment (up to ~40 lbs.) as needed

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently between clinic sites (may include occasional overnight stays)
  • Flexibility to provide after-hours or on-call support during clinic go-lives or incidents
  • Respectful engagement with Tribal communities and commitment to cultural awareness
