Internal Quality Auditor

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This position is responsible for coordinating and executing the internal audit at the IEM manufacturing plant/s.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Conduct internal audits across departments to assess risk and control effectiveness
  • Develop audit plans, scope, and objectives based on risk assessments
  • Analyze financial and operational data to identify discrepancies or inefficiencies
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports with actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate with management to implement corrective actions
  • Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Assist in the development and refinement of internal audit procedures
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices

 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Skills: Must have strong Problem Solving and Analytical abilities. Strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Software: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Access, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with quality management systems, CAPA processes, Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement initiatives and relevant regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, AS9100).

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, preferably in a regulated industry.
    • 2+ years of experience in auditing or related field
    • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, risk management, and internal controls
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills
    • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with integrity
  • Prior experience in Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance is strongly preferred.

 

PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL:

Physical Demands:

            Activities:         Sitting – 25%              

Walking/Standing – 75%

            Lifting:             Lift up to 50 lbs.

            Bending:          Must be able to bend, squat, and climb.

Vision:             Long periods of close work on computer screens, small fonts and fine print on drawings and ability to see small or detailed items.

Mental Demands:       Interpret, analyze, research and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Environment:               Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled. Exposure to excessive heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust and fumes.

Compensation: The hourly pay range for this position is C$ 31.00 - C$ 42.00
