We are seeking a highly experienced General Manager for US-based distribution center. The ideal candidate will have significant prior experience in a high-volume digital warehouse environment and possess incredibly high standards regarding inventory control, management and accuracy.  The role supervises a team, overseeing daily operations in a 130,000 sq. ft warehouseThe ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a keen eye for process optimization. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute warehouse strategies aligned with company growth objectives. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety codes, policies, and procedures of the Company and standards established by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) 
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to drive innovation within the distribution center. 
  • Optimize resource allocation, including labor, equipment, and technology, to meet operational goals. 
  • Responsible for the overall design, operation and management of the fulfillment center warehouse and associated logistics processes 
  • Work closely with Supply Chain leadership and Finance to ensure that the warehouse operation is cost-effective, including headcount expenses, warehouse equipment, and freight. 
  • Drive warehouse technology adoption, including WMS, and data analytics tools. 
  • Identify, hire, and train an experienced, high caliber, detail-oriented team. 
  • Ensure on-time and accurate fulfillment for Walmart, Amazon, Wholesale and Self Fulfillment Channels 
  • Lead continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and meet customer SLAs. 
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess and improve operational performance. 
  • Directly manage the budget and cost for location. 
  • Ensure the facility is maintained in a clean, organized, and secure manner at all times. 
  • Drives year-over-year improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced and evolving warehousing environment.  
  • 10+ years of related experience in distribution operations, including supervising diverse teams with excellent leadership skills that drive engagement. 
  • At least 5 years of leadership experience managing salaried teams. 
  • Experience with power operated equipment such as lifts and order pickers.  
  • Experience with Amazon FBA Shipping systems and policies. 
  • Strong background in supply chain systems, distribution technology, and equipment. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & OTHER ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Must be able to work in varying facility conditions.  
  • Advanced mastery of Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, Google Drive and standard office collaboration software (email, chat, Teams, etc.). 
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate with and manage all warehouse related expenses. 
  • Shipping software systems including UPS and Federal Express.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.  
  • Excellent customer service skills.  
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is helpful but not required.

COMPENSATION

The base pay for this position is $96,720-$145,080 USD Annually. Final salary will be based on a candidate’s experience, location, and market practices. Beyond base salary, you will be eligible for health and welfare benefits (including free options for Team Member only coverage), comprehensive time off programs, including vacation and sick leave, and other perks. We aim to offer a competitive and attractive compensation package that reflects the local market conditions and ensures our employees feel valued and supported.
