Learning and Development, Content and Brand Specialist

As the Learning & Development (L&D) Content & Brand Specialist you will be creative, detail-oriented and bring our learning initiatives to life through compelling content, strong branding, and impactful communications. This role combines instructional design, digital content creation, and branding expertise to ensure that all L&D outputs are consistent, engaging, and aligned with organizational goals.  You will play a central role in developing learning experiences, managing communications, and ensuring that L&D maintains a strong and recognizable presence across the business.  You will work collaboratively with the L &D Specialists as well as the Talent Management & Development CoE team to ensure that initiatives are aligned with organizational goals and strategy.

You will primarily operate remotely but may be required to attend the Macclesfield/Manchester office a few times a month.  You will report into the People Services Learning & Development Team Lead.

Here's what you'll be doing:

  • Complete assigned tasks in the team planner, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with team priorities.
  • Provide project management support for content development, L&D campaigns and business unit initiatives.
  • Design and develop instructional content including e-learning (Articulate), ILT / virtual decks, videos, and self-directed learning assets and ensure alignment with SOPs, training plans, and learner journeys.
  • Build and deliver internal communications to promote L&D initiatives across multiple channels (intranet, email, Viva Engage), ensuring clarity, consistency and accessibility.
  • Lead and contribute to the brand development of the L&D function, maintaining consistent tone, style and visual standards across all training materials.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs), project leads, and CoE teams to create clear briefs, structure content, and align learning assets with business needs and objectives.
  • Utilize Inizio-approved templates and authoring and AI tools (e.g., Articulate, Synthesia) to ensure standardization.
  • Support strategic initiatives from CoEs and business units through high-quality content and communications.
  • Create impactful PowerPoint presentations to support instructor-led and virtual training sessions.
  • Maintain a well-organized, relevant, and up-to-date library of training materials and content assets.
  • Gather learning feedback, analyse engagement data, and leverage insights to continuously improve content effectiveness and learner experience.

 

About you:

  • Background in Learning & Development with experience designing instructional content and learning assets.
  • Skilled in e-learning tools (e.g., Articulate, Synthesia) and creating ILT/virtual decks, videos, and digital content.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, engaging messages across multiple channels.
  • Good eye for design, ensuring materials meet brand, style, and accessibility standards.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with project management skills to handle multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative, working effectively with SMEs, COEs, and business stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset, using feedback and data to improve content and learner experience.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely.
