About the Role

We at Innovaccer are looking for a Software Development Engineer III (AI/ML) to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI/ML solutions. This role involves solving complex business challenges by leveraging cutting-edge technologies and integrating AI/ML capabilities into scalable, high-performance systems. As a senior engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and mentoring team members while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

A Day in the Life

• Design, implement, and optimize machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) models, including generative AI tools such as LLMs, RAG systems, and conversational agents.
•  Build scalable data pipelines and AI/ML workflows for training, fine-tuning, and deploying models in production environments.
• Integrate AI solutions into existing software systems to enhance functionality and improve user experience.
• Lead the design and architecture of complex AI systems while mentoring junior engineers on best practices.
• Analyze large datasets to identify patterns, preprocess data for ML models, and extract actionable insights.
• Monitor deployed models to address issues like drift or inefficiency and implement improvements for scalability and accuracy.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., data scientists, product managers) to align AI initiatives with business goals.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies in AI/ML to drive innovation within the organization.

 What You Need

• Proficiency in programming languages like Python and Scala.
• Hands-on experience with ML/DL frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, or LangChain.
• Strong understanding of generative AI techniques (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering) and vector databases.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and DevOps practices for CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in building robust backend systems using frameworks like Django or Flask.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as React or Vue.js for creating user interfaces.
• Expertise in working with databases like MongoDB or SQL-based systems.
• Strong skills in data preprocessing and feature engineering.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development with at least 2 years focused on AI/ML applications.
• Proven track record of deploying production-grade AI solutions at scale.
• Experience with generative AI tools like OpenAI APIs or custom LLM fine-tuning pipelines.
• Hands-on knowledge of building conversational agents or automation systems using NLP techniques.
• Familiarity with distributed computing platforms like Spark or Kubernetes.
