About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional to take on the role of Director - US Tax and Treasury will lead the company’s tax compliance, planning, and treasury operations across the US. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws while enhancing cash flow, mitigating risks, and executing strategic tax planning initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess extensive expertise in US tax regulations, treasury management, and financial risk assessment.

A Day in the Life

Taxation

• Lead US tax compliance efforts, including federal, state, and local tax filings.
• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize tax positions and mitigate risks.
• Manage tax audits and disputes with regulatory authorities.
• Ensure compliance with sales tax, income tax, and international tax requirements (if applicable).
• Collaborate with external tax advisors and internal stakeholders to drive tax efficiency.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on business operations.
• Provide tax guidance on mergers, acquisitions, and cross-border transactions.

Treasury Management

• Oversee cash management, liquidity planning, and capital structure optimization.
• Develop strategies for managing debt, foreign exchange exposure, and working capital.
• Maintain banking relationships and optimize banking operations.
• Implement treasury controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Assess and mitigate financial risks, including interest rate and currency risk.
• Support investment and funding decisions with data-driven financial insights.

Strategic Leadership & Compliance

• Work closely with finance, legal, and business teams to support tax and treasury initiatives.
• Lead tax and treasury-related technology implementations and process improvements.
• Ensure SOX compliance and adherence to financial reporting standards.
• Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies to manage compliance.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to tax and treasury teams.

 What You Need

• CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification preferred
• 10+ years of experience in US tax and treasury functions, preferably in a multinational company
•  Experience managing tax audits and implementing tax-saving strategies
•  Strong understanding of US tax laws, treasury operations, and financial risk management
