Research and Communications Scientist - Virology focus
Integral Molecular is a Philadelphia biotech company that has a long history in the virology field helping understand the immune response against viral pathogens and the structure and function of viral Envelope proteins.
Our company is in an exciting growth phase where we are launching new products, expanding our team, and reaching new markets. We seek a Research and Communications Scientist to join our team of virologists and cellular biologists to coordinate our NIH-funded research on viruses and antiviral antibodies, and to communicate our results through manuscripts, posters, and presentations. You will use your expertise to lead efforts in communications, data analysis, and project management.

What you will do at Integral Molecular:
- Work with a supportive team to develop and craft outward facing company communications, especially publications, posters, presentations, and reports
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant fields, publications, and protein structures
- Work directly with research scientists internally and externally to plan experiments, analyze data, and prioritize projects
- Mentor junior members of the team by providing technical and scientific guidance
- Work within the lab is possible but not required
The successful candidate will have:
Education
- PhD in Biology, or a related field
- Virology and immunology experience is desired but not required
- Experience in structural biology and the analysis of protein structures is desired but not required
Experience
- Excellent writing skills and extreme attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to communicate data visually through figures, graphs, and illustrations
- Proven track record of achievement in cell biology, virology, or a related discipline through peer-reviewed publications and presentations
- Familiarity with flow cytometry and protein structural analysis is a plus
- Experience organizing, leading, and managing projects is desired but not required
