We are looking for a Market Intelligence Associate to support the Marketing Intelligence, Data, and Strategy team by helping us explore new markets, understand established and emerging competitors, and develop internal assets for the organization.

As an individual contributor, you will be based in Boston, MA, and collaborate with Product, Sales, Marketing, Pricing, and regional teams across the world. You will work closely with the Senior Market Intelligence Manager to develop market and competitive intelligence assets, conduct primary and secondary research, synthesize customer and market insights, and support the development and maintenance of centralized commercial enablement resources across InterSystems offerings.

This role combines research, analysis, project management, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, intellectually curious, comfortable working across teams, and able to balance strategic research and operational execution.

Overall

  • Utilize data and analytics from internal and external sources to inform marketing strategies, support customer retention and expansion efforts, and identify market, customer, and competitive trends.
  • Apply market intelligence and competitive intelligence best practices to develop actionable insights for Product, Marketing, Sales, Pricing, and executive stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to gather and synthesize insights into industries, markets, competitors, customers, and emerging trends.
  • Support the creation and ongoing maintenance of centralized commercial enablement resources designed to provide a consistent understanding of customer offerings, packaging, pricing, implementation, and entitlements across teams.

Responsibilities

Market Intelligence Research and Data Analysis

  • Gather data from various sources and databases to compile intelligence briefings, including customer organization profiles, buyer segmentation and classification, emerging market segments, and competitor analysis.
  • Conduct market and competitive intelligence research and benchmark across key customer technology segments.
  • Support primary research efforts including interviews, surveys, focus groups.
  • Assist in managing external market research and customer research partners.
  • Develop market and competitive intelligence assets for Sales, Marketing, and Product teams.
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and analytical projects as needed.

 

Commercial Knowledge Management and Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve a centralized library of commercial enablement resources across InterSystems product offerings
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Pricing, Sales, Legal, , Managed Services, as well as Implementation and Learning Services teams to gather information and ensure the resources remain accurate, consistent, and aligned.
  • Support the creation, organization, and ongoing maintenance of the resources as products, packaging, and pricing evolve.
  • Help establish scalable processes and governance models for reviewing, updating, and managing content across teams.
  • Track stakeholder feedback and identify opportunities to improve resource usability, adoption, and overall effectiveness of the resources.

 

Visualization and Sharing of Intelligence

  • Leverage business intelligence tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, etc.) to deliver visual insights to decision makers
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop client-facing reports, newsletters, infographics and other deliverables
  • Give presentations and training sessions on research findings for the marketing, product and sales teams. Comfort presentation to C-level executives required.

Data Architecture Development and Platform Management

  • Work with cross-functional leadership teams to maintain and improve the company’s databases
  • Implement and own new processes, reports, dashboards, or other analytic pursuits that drive user adoption and interest in market intelligence efforts across the company
  • Assist in inventory existing reports for future consolidation, transformation, and improvement; document and maintain reporting inventory

Experience and Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 1 year of experience in market research, competitive intelligence, consulting, or analytics roles; MBA and/or additional certifications in relevant business areas are a plus
  • Proven ability to learn new tools and technologies
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, including manipulating large datasets
  • Preference given to candidates with working knowledge of SQL, as well as analytics insight and curation tools like R, Python, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research, with a preference for strong qualitative research and synthesis skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, a 15-min presentation is required along with application.
  • Preference given to candidates with industry experience in either healthcare, supply chain, or enterprise software industry experience.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic thinking with operational execution.
  • A track record and comfort with project-based work.
  • History works globally, especially with individuals across time zones.
  • Ability to balance independent work and team-based work and shift focus between the two as needed
  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple complex projects at a time, manage time constraints, and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with AI- assisted research and use with secondary materials.
  • Skill in writing effective prompts to accelerate desk research.

InterSystems is providing a current good faith estimate of the anticipated base salary range for this position depending on a variety of factors including experience, education, skills, and performance.

Other compensation may include a discretionary annual variable target incentive.

The estimated base compensation range for this role is:

$80,000 - $110,000 USD
