Senior Revenue Accountant

Interwell Health seeks a seasoned Accounting professional! As the Senior Revenue Accountant reporting directly to the Manager, Accounting, you'll support the end-to-end accounting of a business unit, including Accrued Liabilities and related Expenses, Revenue, and month end close responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in month-end close processes, an eye for strong controls and demonstrated process improvement experience. What You Will Do: 

  • Assist with month end close process including accrued liabilities, expenses, cash reconciliations, ASC606 Revenue Recognition and related revenue accruals, and other ad hoc month end close items.
  • Help with defining processes and procedures including process improvement of already existing documentation and processes.
  • Provide support for Interwell billing/revenue processes as needed.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to accrued liabilities, expenses, and journal entries. 
  • Develop and monitor internal controls to minimize financial risk, identify opportunities, and collaborate with external auditors during audits. 
  • Prepare monthly Blackline reconciliations for key and non-key balance sheet accounts.

What You Will Need: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting. 
  • CPA certification preferred, with Big4 Public Accounting experience as a plus. 
  • Proficient in researching, documenting, and interpreting technical accounting guidance, particularly ASC 606.
  • Proven, advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Bill.com, and Blackline preferred).
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and regulations including GAAP and IFRS.
  • A proactive, self-directed approach and the ability to learn quickly with a drive for continuous improvement and navigate ambiguity effectively.
  • A high sense of urgency and the ability to be detail-oriented and multitask in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience working with a SaaS (software as a service) business and/or healthcare is highly valued.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% annually (a few days per year for onsite meetings as needed)
