The Role: 

We are looking for a Senior Global Media & Social Intelligence Manager to join our Global Marketing & Communications team. As a Sr. Global Media & Social Intelligence Manager, you'll be part of a cross-functional team whose mission is to lead IonQ on its journey to build the world's best quantum computers to solve the world's most complex problems.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing global media tracking, analyzing social intelligence trends, and translating data into actionable marketing strategies. The ideal candidate is someone who is highly analytical, culturally aware of global media landscapes, and a proactive storyteller.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze global media coverage and social conversations to track brand sentiment and share of voice.
  • Synthesize complex data sets from social listening tools into actionable insights for the executive and marketing teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align social intelligence data with broader corporate communications goals.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of global PR and social media campaigns.

Requirements:

  • 6-8 years of professional experience in media relations, social listening, corporate communications, or data analytics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Data Analytics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Deep expertise with advanced social listening and media intelligence platforms (e.g., Brandwatch, Meltwater, Sprinklr).
  • Strong cross-cultural communication skills with experience managing insights across diverse global markets, specifically including India and North America.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Communications/Data Science) is a plus.
  • Prior experience working within deep tech, quantum computing, or high-growth SaaS environments.


The total compensation package includes base, bonus, equity, and a range of benefit options found on our career site.

 

Compensation will vary based on individual factors such as education, qualifications, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location, and calibration against relevant market data and internal team equity.  Posted base salary figures are subject to change as new market data becomes available.
