
Senior Regional Account Director
Overview
The Senior Regional Account Director is a critical leadership position requiring extensive oncology experience in hospital and community settings and with new product launches. You will be responsible for ensuring a successful product launch, driving demand, and sustaining Lifileucel's growth while building and leading a Cell Therapy Account team. The ideal candidate should have a high level of initiative and be prepared to lead and manage projects during the pre-launch and post-launch planning phases.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Directs a team of Cell Therapy Account Sr. Managers/Associate Directors team, ensuring the team understands Iovance’s strategy, vision, and direction to achieve established business goals and commercial strategy.
- Develops plans and participate in strategic and tactical planning.
- Accountable for financial results of assigned markets.
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and assist in qualifying potential Lifileucel Authorized Treatment Centers.
- Direct and lead the activities of a cross-functional team, including Market Access, Marketing, and Medical Affairs, to ensure efficient customer engagement.
- Maintain high visibility with the commercial field organization through regular customer engagements with the field team to ensure a customer-centric approach.
- Works on a variety of projects for VP, National Cell Therapy Account Teams.
- Provide training, coaching, and development of the commercial field-based organization in all phases of their work, including career development.
- Maintain compliance with corporate policies and procedures and US/global healthcare laws and regulations.
- Must adhere to Iovance Biotherapeutics’ core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Travel - Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge
- 12+ years Oncology/Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical experience, 3-5+ years leading and managing teams.
- Experience and strong understanding of the community oncology practice landscape.
- Exemplary leadership skills with experience coaching a high-performing sales team with a proven track record of achieving goals and objectives.
- Solutions-oriented with exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Proven ability to hire, lead, and commercially deliver in a complex therapeutic landscape.
- High clinical aptitude in the field of oncology and immunotherapy, as well as operational understanding in the academic hospital and community oncology setting.
- Demonstrates high-level knowledge and understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements, as well as oncology reimbursement and policy landscape.
- A BA or BS degree is required.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build consensus across multiple cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to successfully communicate and execute organizational goals and brand strategies.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Outstanding presentation skills.
Preferred Education, Skills, and Knowledge
- Launch experience in solid tumor markets preferred.
- Experience developing and building out service lines at academic hospitals is preferred.
- MBA or other related, graduate-level degree is preferred.
