Position Overview

We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst with exceptional written and verbal communication skills to facilitate business requirements gathering, define validation rules, and support reporting automation for our financial data validation platform. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a technical background and the ability to translate complex business processes into clear, actionable user stories and documentation. This role operates within a blended Agile and Waterfall environment, ensuring alignment between business objectives, system requirements, and development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and refine business and functional requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive user stories, acceptance criteria, and business process documentation.
  • Analyze and optimize business workflows and system interactions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Utilize agile management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps to document requirements, track progress, and manage backlog items.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure that user experiences align with business needs and usability standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and QA to ensure that business requirements are accurately translated into functional and technical specifications.
  • Conduct gap analyses, impact assessments, and stakeholder interviews to validate business requirements.
  • Present findings, reports, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Identify potential gaps in requirements, uncover edge cases, and proactively highlight areas for consideration that may not have been initially scoped.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in business analysis with a strong focus on process optimization and system documentation.
  • 2+ years of consulting experience.
  • Minimum 4-year Degree 
  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to articulate complex business needs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps in an Agile/Waterfall environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both business stakeholders and development teams.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify overlooked requirements, challenge assumptions, and think critically about business needs.
  • Experience in defining and documenting requirements for custom software development, ensuring solutions align with business objectives.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and cloud environments (Azure).
  • Hybrid work model required – must be onsite at least 2 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in business analysis, particularly in enterprise-level projects.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, and Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Strong facilitation skills for executive presentations, workshops, and stakeholder discussions.
  • Financial industry knowledge, including experience in financial data analysis, reporting, or compliance-driven business processes.
