The Adobe AEM Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining digital experience solutions using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and related Adobe Experience Cloud tools. This role combines strong technical implementation skills with a deep understanding of content architecture, component development, and system integration. The AEM Engineer collaborates closely with UX designers, content authors, and technical teams to deliver engaging, secure, and scalable digital experiences that align with enterprise and brand standards

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement custom AEM components, templates, workflows, and services to support web and mobile experiences.
· Configure and extend AEM’s core capabilities, including Digital Asset Management (DAM), Content Fragments, and Experience Fragments.
· Integrate AEM with backend systems, APIs, and external services to deliver dynamic, personalized, and data-driven content experiences.
· Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between AEM and presentation layer technologies (React, Angular, etc.).
· Optimize AEM applications for performance, accessibility, security, and maintainability in accordance with enterprise standards.
· Partner with Business Analysts and Project Managers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
· Work closely with QA and DevOps teams to ensure proper version control, deployment automation, and environment stability.
· Provide guidance on AEM best practices, governance, and content authoring processes to support operational excellence.
· Support incident resolution, enhancement requests, and system upgrades in collaboration with other platform stakeholders.
· Contribute to documentation of architecture, code, and integration patterns for maintainability and knowledge transfer.
Required Experience & Expertise
5+ years of experience in AEM development and implementation within enterprise environments.
· Strong proficiency with AEM architecture, component development (HTL/Sightly, Sling Models, OSGi), and JCR repository structures.
· Experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 for custom component and service development.
· Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud ecosystem tools such as Target, Analytics, or Launch.
· Understanding of API integration patterns (REST, GraphQL) and secure content delivery practices.
· Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and performance optimization for responsive, mobile-first design.
· Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps processes for AEM deployments.
· Excellent analytical and communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively with design, development, and content teams.
Proven experience designing and implementing solutions that integrate with digital wallet platforms, specifically Google Wallet and Apple Wallet, including the creation, management, and secure delivery of wallet passes, cards, or credentials.
Adobe Certified Expert (AEM Sites Developer or Architect) certification preferred
