Senior Network & Telecommunications Engineer

IVX Health is seeking a Senior Network & Telecommunications Engineer to provide technical leadership across our enterprise network and unified communications environment. This role is ideal for a highly experienced infrastructure professional who thrives in complex, high-availability environments and plays a critical role in supporting clinical operations and organizational growth.

What You'll Do

• Lead Network & Telephony Architecture: Design and evolve enterprise network and telecommunications systems across data centers, cloud environments, clinics, and corporate locations. Establish standards, reference architectures, and best practices
• Drive Reliability & Performance: Own the stability and performance of network and communications platforms. Implement monitoring, alerting, and capacity planning to proactively mitigate risk and ensure uptime
• Serve as Escalation Authority: Act as the highest-level escalation point for critical incidents. Lead root cause analysis, coordinate cross-functional response efforts, and drive corrective actions
• Lead Projects & Change Management: Oversee complex infrastructure projects from design through implementation. Review and approve network changes in alignment with security, compliance, and operational standards
• Support Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to enterprise efforts including new site deployments, mergers and acquisitions, cloud adoption, and infrastructure modernization
• Collaborate & Mentor: Provide guidance to engineers and service teams. Partner with IT security and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational and compliance requirements
• Provide On-Site Support: Travel up to 25% to support major implementations, troubleshooting, and infrastructure initiatives.

Essential Competencies & Skills

• Deep expertise in enterprise network and telecommunications design, implementation, and support.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex, multi-system issues.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and influence architecture decisions.
• Experience in high-availability, regulated environments where uptime is critical.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring, incident management, and change control processes.

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in network and telecommunications engineering.
• Industry certifications such as Cisco, Juniper, Avaya, or equivalent strongly preferred.
