Affect is looking for a Product Manager to join the team to drive initiatives for Product and the organization. This role will take ownership of making the Affect app people’s long term home for recovery, supporting individuals through the phases of change to the decision to engage in treatment.  In addition, this role is focused on driving scale for our business through program, state, and insurance expansion, and connecting our internal tooling and processes to meet that scale.

 The Role

The Product Manager’s responsibilities will include:

  • Platform
    • Increasing the efficiency of our care operations so that our care team can focus on more direct member care and less on operational workflow. Identifying core unlocks in our CRM, EHR, and automation tools to drive scale.
    • Salient distillation and prioritization of information for different care team stakeholders in the context of their workflow.
    • Scaling our program, insurance, and data architecture to handle the state and plan specific requirements. Drive simplicity amongst the complexity of state specific requirements and risk. 
  • Growth
    • Empowering and collaborating with our marketing team to analyze user flows and build in-app experiences that will attract members that are most likely to be ready for treatment.
    • Building out data flows to help with ad optimization and conversion.
    • Learning and iterating on ways to help potential members move from the precontemplation stage of change to the ready for change stage.
    • Increasing efficiency of our treatment consultant operations so that they can focus less on operational workflows and more on the best way to deliver empathetic, consistent, high-quality, and data-driven guidance for potential members.
  • General
    • You will have the opportunity to impact the company’s trajectory through optimizing key metrics including: cost-of-acquisition, lifetime value for members, lead conversion rate, initial member attendance rates, and reduction of tech-support issues.

  • Day to day working
    • Collaborating with design and working closely with engineers to scope optimal solutions.
    • Planning and grooming sprints to maintain a smooth and high output team
    • Demonstrating a continuous track record of accountability, continuous learning, taking ownership, and consistently delivering results.

    • Maintaining a standard of operational excellence by diving into operations and ensuring product delivery to the last mile.
    • Demonstrating a service-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering features that enhance internal team efficiency, ultimately creating an exceptional member experience.
    • Coordinating cross-team collaboration through defining frameworks to manage ownership structures and ensure accountability
  • PM Excellence
    • Demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a systems-thinking mindset. You enjoy solving complex and hard problems and driving efficiency and simplicity in your solutions.
    • Demonstrating planning and negotiation skills to navigate tradeoffs. Effective at balancing business, stakeholder, and customer needs. Ability to prioritize tasks while keeping company objectives in clear perspective.
    • Scoping solutions through a balance of discovery and execution in your product process.
    • Navigating ambiguous situations while actively working towards driving clarity.
    • Utilizing data directly with our internal tools (Metabase and SQL) to gain insight into member behavior.
  • Value Add to Affect’s Culture
    • Creating solutions for our members and staff through an empathetic and data-driven approach.

 

Qualifications Include:

    • Must have experience working cross-functionally (extra plus if you’ve worked with clinical care organizations)
    • 4+ years in Product roles
    • Healthcare experience required
    • Have worked in fast-paced environments (especially startups)
    • SQL skills or ability to learn
    • Demonstrated track record of leveraging data flow through the entire product lifecycle
