Job summary:
We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator with broad experience across multiple database technologies and cloud technologies. This position will be part of the cloud platform build and system operations team (Infrastructure department) working closely with Software Engineering teams to help create cloud-based solution platform.
We value automation, scalability, and fault-tolerance to ensure we can always meet the needs of our customers, and deep monitoring capabilities to make sure we know if issues arise before they do.
Candidates for this position should also be able to drive the implementation of database environments, processes, tools, and be highly self-motivated.

Responsibilities:
- Build extensible, reliable, and resilient database systems
- Support and optimize our database cloud infrastructure, including joining client conference calls to support client databases
- Actively work on assigned tasks or new functionality setup projects including architecture design preparation, implementation, and documentation tasks
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in databases hosted in development, lab, and production environments
- Timely and effectively solve incidents and work on RCA cases
- Building cloud database platform components and new application integration with our monitoring system
- Collaborate with other DBA team members (international team) to keep following approved standards
- 24/7/365 on-call emergency availability and after hours scheduled maintenance windows
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science/Information Systems or related field
- 3+ years of equivalent work experience
Skills / Knowledge Requirements:
- Passion to provide outstanding service to both internal and external clients
- Proficiency with multiple relational database systems (PostgreSQL and MSSQL) and understanding of their low-level operating concepts
- Strong database design and architectural skills, including the understanding of effective database design
- Knowledge of database tuning and performance enhancement concepts
- Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS
- Experience using source control tools such as Git. Gitlab pipeline experience a plus
- Self-motivated and directed, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail
- Excellent English listening, written, and oral communication skills
- Experience working in a team-oriented collaborative environment
- Superior attention to detail, personal initiative, and commitment to quality
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple concurrent tasks
- Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence tracking solutions is a plus
