Where You Come In:  

KCF Technologies is seeking participants in many areas of study to contribute to our high-performing teams as part of the Future Innovators Internship Program. This 10-week, full-time paid program June 2 – August 8 will take place at our KCF Headquarters in-person, or remotely, depending on where home is for you. With our work from home, work from anywhere policy, the choice of where to work is yours.

Our home base is our headquarters in State College, PA, but you will find KCF Teammates spread across 27 different U.S. States with our flexible remote model. We give you the autonomy to define how and where you do your best work!

This immersive 10-week, full-time, paid experience is designed to empower student leaders and change-makers to push their problem-solving capabilities to the limit. As an intern with the KCF Analytics Team, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals to evaluate, improve, and develop AI products and solutions, and be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting vast amounts of data to identify ways to help our business improve operationally and gain ROI through proactive maintenance.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Design, build, and optimize data-driven models using machine learning and analytical techniques.
  • Collect, clean, and regularize data using industry best practices and standards.
  • Familiarity with tools such as AWS, Databricks, and Delta Lake.
  • Document and present model plans and results, workflows, best practices, and recommendations.

Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related technical or scientific degree program, in at least their second year. (Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors)
  • Knowledge and experience working with one or more programming languages (Python, Spark, etc.)
  • Demonstrated aptitude in designing and implementing data-driven models using machine learning techniques and neural networks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to operate in a team environment with other engineers
  • Strong organization and attention-to-detail.
  • Willingness to ask questions, take initiative and be resourceful
  • Proven ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems
