Employment Status: Full-time
Office Hours: Monday - Friday, in-office with 1 day WFH option
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 base + equity options
The Chief of Staff is a strategic and operational leader who works closely with the CEO to drive the company's vision and goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with exceptional technical and soft skills, effective cross-functional alignment capabilities, and outstanding stakeholder management abilities. They will be highly organized, efficient, and not afraid to get their hands dirty to ensure company objectives are met. We view this position as a leadership accelerator, preparing high-performers for leadership roles as the company scales.
Work will be based in office in Kendall Square. 1 hybrid day per week may be an option. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. or Canada. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visas (including H-1B), F-1 visas, or Optional Practical Training (OPT) status at this time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CEO to design, prioritize, and execute critical growth and optimization initiatives
- Generate and deliver rigorous quantitative and qualitative insights to drive business strategy and decision-making
- Produce materials for internal and external stakeholders, including memos, presentations, and Board meeting materials
- Align and manage stakeholders across special projects ranging from cross-functional initiatives to executive-specific needs
- Identify and mitigate organizational risks
- Act as the CEO's representative in meetings and events when needed
- Collaborate with the leadership team to develop organizational metrics, ensuring effective communication, accountability tracking, and progress reporting
- Partner with Finance leadership to execute organizational planning and budgeting initiatives
- Monitor organizational performance, diagnose areas for improvement, and offer actionable insights and solutions
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
About You:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, or related field; MBA is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in a fast-paced, high-growth company; startup experience preferred
- 2+ years as a Chief of Staff or similar position highly preferred
- Strong understanding of business operations, strategy, and finance
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with quantitative aptitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization, Board of Directors, and external stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial mindset: runs through walls to get things done with a track record of high efficiency
- Detail-oriented strategic thinker who thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
