ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Production, Wovens Intern to join the KHAITE team for this Summer. This role will report to the Senior Director, Product Development & Production, RTW and will be based out of the NYC HQ offices. This internship is unpaid and for college credit only.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in tracking and organizing raw materials, trims, and fabrics for the production process
- Support the production team in maintaining detailed records of purchase orders, deliveries, and inventory
- Coordinate with local factories / vendors to ensure timely sample and bulk production; visiting local factories as needed
- Assist in fitting sessions and take notes on construction and fit adjustments
- Prepare and update production boards, tech packs, and cost sheets as needed
- Maintain updates in PLM system - RLM
- Organize sample racks for fittings as well as maintain working space
- Conduct market and material research to source innovative fabrics and trims
- Provide general administrative support, including data entry and maintaining production logs
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS
Interpersonal Skills:
- Exceptional attention to details and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and a sense of urgency
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Passion for luxury fashion and an eagerness to learn
Education/Experience:
- Currently enrolled for a Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Technical Design, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of garment construction, fit, and production timelines; with a particular interest in woven materials
- New York domestic development experience is a plus
- Proficiency in PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in RLM is a plus.
