Why This Role Matters

At Kindbridge, we’re on a mission to make behavioral health accessible to everyone. You’ll manage budgets, forecasts, and audits, implement internal controls, and partner closely with leadership and the board to guide data-driven decisions that strengthen both our fiscal health and mission impact. You’ll also lead initiatives that integrate AI automation to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy across financial systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including A/P, A/R, general ledger, invoicing, and insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and integrity
  • Prepare and review GAAP-compliant financial statements, budgets, and reports to guide strategic decision-making
  • Lead revenue cycle management (RCM) to ensure timely billing, collections, and payer alignment
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of automation and AI-driven financial tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency across accounting and reporting functions
  • Track financial performance, resolve variances, and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Work closely with the executive team, clinical and operations leaders, and the board of directors to align accounting practices with organizational goals
  • Provide financial insights and forecasting to support planning, resource allocation, and risk management
  • Manage vendor relationships, audits, and internal controls to maintain compliance and fiscal accountability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CFA strongly preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience within a fast-paced, high-growth organization
  • Healthcare or behavioral health experience required, including insurance claims, invoicing, and payer model familiarity
  • Highly proficient in ERP and accounting systems, including QuickBooks, EHR and RCM platforms, and AI-driven automation tools
  • Demonstrated success advising executive leadership and the board of directors on financial performance, risk management, and strategic decision-making
  • Deep understanding of GAAP, audit, and internal controls, with proven experience designing scalable financial processes
  • Willingness to travel to our Denver, Colorado office for quarterly board meetings
