Sr. Manager, Global Commercial Web Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Technology Leaderto join our IT team, supporting Kiniksa’s growing portfolio of biotech digital initiatives. This role will focus on the architecture, development, optimization, and governance of the technologies used to support Kiniksa websites, built primarily on the Drupal CMS and hosted on Acquia’s Cloud Platform. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation in Web development, a passion for digital innovation in life sciences, and experience working in regulated environments.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have a hands-on, can-do attitude and the ability to juggle the priorities of multiple business partner organizations and projects while supporting the ongoing technology environment in a young organization experiencing rapid user growth.

This role is based in our Lexington office. Our office-based employees follow a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office, and 1 day remote.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

•    Serve as the IT system owner for key applications (e.g. Acquia) to ensure platforms are up to date and Kiniksa is maximizing the value of their investment in these platforms.  

•    Oversee the day-to-day operations, including regular maintenance, security patches, upgrades of Drupal core and contributed modules (Drupal 9/10, Acquia Site Studio), and monitor site performance to ensure high availability.

•    Work with applications to pilot and deploy new features to address business requirements (e.g. personalization).

•    Research and investigate AI solutions.  Propose use case, gain approval, lead project, actively participate in prototyping and ensure production adoption and usage.

•    Work with internal teams to manage select content updates,   create new pages/functionality, troubleshoot user issues, and ensure all website content adheres to brand, accessibility (e.g., ADA/WCAG), and SEO standards.

•    Manage existing third-party web applications and services using APIs, ensuring seamless functionality across the entire platform, incluing compliance, tagging, and measurement.  Applications include Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and OneTrust.  //

•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Digital Marketing, IT Infrastructure, Legal, and Compliance to ensure alignment with business goals and regulatory standards (e.g., ADA, GDPR, CCPA)

•    Serve as technical liaison with external vendors (e.g., Eversana) to oversee architecture, quality control, and deployment of new digital assets and projects.  Leveraging JIRA where applicable to maximize collaboration between teams.

•    Manage DNS configurations, domain registrations, and SSL certificates in coordination with IT Infrastructure.

•    Monitor and optimize site performance, security, and SEO metrics; implement caching strategies and bot management solutions as needed.

Required Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in STEM, or a related work experience is required.  

•    5+ years of experience in Web development, with at least 3 years focused on Drupal and Acquia Cloud Platform. 

•    Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), PHP, and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js). 

•    Experience with Acquia Site Studio, Acquia Content Hub, and Drupal theming (Twig). 

•    Strong understanding of web accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and SEO best practices.

•    Strong understanding of the data elements from various Digital platforms (Google, Meta, Amazon) ingested into Snowflake and consumed by Tableau.  

•    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. 

•    Good interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements and the ability to communicate complex technology concepts to the Business in a manner that relates to their goals and objectives.

•    Ability to plan, coordinate and complete multiple projects efficiently, on time and within budget in an environment of challenging and changing priorities

•    Compliance with all laws, regulations, policies, and procedures that govern the conduct of Kiniksa activities

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Familiarity with biotech/pharma digital compliance standards and content governance models. 

•    Acquia or Drupal certification. 

•    Experience with headless Drupal or low-code platforms. 

•    Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager 

•    Experience with OneTrust

•    Experience with New Relic

•    Experience with Campaign Management Platforms (e.g. Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and Form based platforms (e.g. Formstack) 

•    Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines. 

•    Familiarity with Microsoft collaboration tools (SharePoint)

Compensation decisions are based on objective criteria including role responsibilities, experience/qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and external market benchmarks.

Pay Range

$183,000 - $195,000 USD
