Reporting to the Executive Director, HCP & Patient Marketing, the Senior Manager, Marketing Operations will play a critical role in ensuring continued seamless and compliant execution of brand strategies and tactics for ARCALYST® (rilonacept).  

The successful candidate has a unique opportunity to gain a deep understanding of the broad spectrum of marketing responsibilities. This person should be a self-starter, execution-oriented, collaborative, and proactive in identifying risks and opportunities. As a member of the Marketing Organization at Kiniksa, this role will have visibility to senior leadership across multiple functions. The successful candidate will have broad responsibilities related to improving the foundational Marketing Operations capabilities, processes, and tools, which will allow Kiniksa’s Marketing Operations function to scale as future assets progress through the clinic.

This role is based in our Lexington, MA office and requires employees to be onsite five days per week.

Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Manage vendor for speaker bureau operations, management, and program logistics
  • Develop and deliver regular communications with the brand teams, including reports reflecting their respective speaker program activity, spend, and achievement of objectives
  • Support development and execution of peer-to-peer strategy, including content creation and program development
  • Manage planning and development of annual speaker bureau training seminars
  • Support Kiniksa staff training related to speaker program operations and execution
  • Work with IT team and the speaker program / promotional material procurement suppliers on data interfaces and data management for internal data enhancements or changes
  • Partner with the Compliance team to ensure appropriate and accurate transparency reporting, adherence to relevant Kiniksa policies/processes, and ensure proper handling of any exceptions for the speaker bureau or program
  • Manage all aspects of the promotional material review process to ensure content and design are appropriate, accurate and consistent with all applicable regulations and laws and Kiniksa SOPs
  • Oversees regular promotional material review planning meetings to manage timely submissions and prioritization of agendas to meet business needs
  • Serve as a strategic partner with the medical, legal, and regulatory review team, marketing team, external agencies, and all cross-functional stakeholders involved in the promotional material review approval process to drive efficiency and compliance
  • Provides ongoing training and support for user questions and exhibits expertise in the process and online promotional material review tool
  • Manage external stakeholders, including contract PRC Coordinator, to ensure they are adequately trained and appropriately follow all applicable policies, processes, and best practices
  • Manage integration across Veeva platforms, including PromoMats-CRM connections
  • Lead print/fulfillment process including managing and distributing all digital and print promotional materials including release, update and expiry of materials via PromoMats or other production fulfillment service
  • Assist the Kiniksa marketing team with day-to-day activities, including budget and contract management activities
  • Participate as a core member of the marketing team in key meetings and support ad-hoc projects

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech company, including 1+ years in Marketing Operations and/or project management roles
  • Proficient project management skills and attention to detail
  • Experience managing external vendors including establishing performance expectations, managing day-to-day activities, and ensuring appropriateness of work orders
  • Experience with Veeva PromoMats and Veeva Vault strongly preferred
  • Experience working with an external speakers’ bureau strongly desired
  • Interested in working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills
  • Strong project management and operational efficiency are critical
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to prioritize and multitask to enhance productivity and manage high volume workload in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to influence without authority across multi-functional teams with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Works with a sense of urgency, efficiency, and attention to detail

Compensation decisions are based on objective criteria including role responsibilities, experience/qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and external market benchmarks.

Pay Range

$175,000 - $195,000 USD
