The Localization Quality Assurance Specialist is a key contributor in developing and maintaining quality assurance (QA) standards and working to ensure KnowBe4 delivers accurate, relevant, high-quality translations of KnowBe4’s vast e-learning content library.
Responsibilities:
- Act as editor, primary decision maker, and steward over standards and quality of language of specialty
- Perform in-context review of vendor localization work across all supported languages to ensure high-quality localizations that meet project expectations
- Conduct periodic reviews of customer feedback with regard to the quality of content from users outside of the U.S.
- Provide training and guidance to KnowBe4 staff/contractors who produce content in other languages and/or are localizing content
- Stay attuned with and serve as a subject matter expert on cultural expectations of content for designated regions
- Perform cultural review of content and review feedback from customers regarding culture
- Prepare project instructions for vendors to follow to ensure optimal quality of localizations
- Provide input to content creators to ensure the content library is globally minded and ready to be translated or localized
- Contribute to continual improvement of our processes, quality and efficiency as we grow
- Maintain foreign language style guides
- Take an active role in creating and supporting content that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive as outlined in the KnowBe4 DEI statement
- Ensure content is Web Content Accessible Guidelines (WCAG 2.2 AA) compliant so that our content is accessible to all users
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Language Studies, Cultural Anthropology, International Relations, Linguistics or related field/experience (Masters preferred)
- Translation experience in the language pair desired for this role (English to target language)
- Experience with CAT tools
- Experience with Google Suite
- Experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)
- Experience with web browsers (Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.)
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Specialized in either Swedish, Danish or Norwegian language
- Excellent listening skills
- Excellent time management and organization skills
