As we move towards a product and platform-driven organisations from a services-based model, we are expanding our Bengaluru, India team. We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of the cutting-edge solutions that power Konovo's platform. 

About the Role 

Konovo seeks an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our growing engineering team in India. This role requires deep knowledge of software testing strategies, a passion for quality and reliability, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a global, cross-functional environment.

Konovo’s capabilities are delivered through our cloud-based platform, enabling customers to collect data from healthcare professionals and transform it into actionable insights using cutting-edge AI in conjunction with proven market research tools and techniques. 

As a Senior QA Engineer at Konovo, you will have the opportunity to influence our testing strategies and play a pivotal role in ensuring that our platform and product solutions meet the highest standards of excellence. 

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

  • Define and Implement Test Strategies: Design and execute comprehensive test plans, including functional, integration, performance, and security testing to ensure the highest quality of Konovo’s healthcare insights platform.
  • Drive Test Automation: Develop and maintain robust test automation frameworks and scripts, using modern tools and best practices to ensure rapid, reliable, and repeatable testing.
  • Embed Shift-Left Testing: Work closely with developers and product teams to incorporate testing early in the development cycle, ensuring defects are identified and addressed proactively.
  • Drive In-Sprint Automation: Implement test automation within the same sprint as feature development, ensuring all new features are tested and validated before deployment.
  • Collaborate in Agile Teams: Work closely within a cross-functional scrum team (Software, QA, and Data Engineers, along with Product and Design) to iterate quickly and deliver impactful features.
  • Champion Quality: Advocate for quality assurance best practices throughout the development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to final production release.
  • Mentor and Share Knowledge: While your primary role is as an individual contributor, provide guidance to junior QA engineers, helping them grow and improve their technical expertise.
  • Innovate and Improve: Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, sprint planning, and architectural reviews to propose solutions for improving testing efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure Reliability: Design quality and security into solutions, validate functionality with automated and manual tests, and own the quality of your deliverables.

What We’re Looking For: 

  • 5+ years of professional experience in QA or software testing, ideally working on complex, scalable applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Self-starter with an ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically.
  • Innovative mindset and passion for learning new technologies to drive test effectiveness and creation of world class software. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in:
    • Working in an Agile methodology and using relevant tools in a fast-paced environment.
    • Quality assurance processes, including test plan creation, execution, and reporting.
    • API testing (e.g. Postman, REST Assured) and Performance testing (e.g. JMeter, Gatling). ,
    • Automated testing frameworks (e.g., Playright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar).
    • CI/CD integration, monitoring, and reporting of test results.
    • Cloud technology (AWS preferred) in a SaaS environment.
    • Supporting business-critical systems and products.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent).

Tech Stack: 

  • Programming Languages: JavaScript, or Python, or Java (Bonus points for multiple)
  • Database: SQL, NoSQL (MongoDB/DocumentDB)
  • Automation & Tools: Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, Postman, JMeter, CI/CD pipelines
  • AI/ML: Experience with AI-driven testing and ML models is a plus
