Senior QA Engineer

Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Konovo is a global healthcare intelligence company on a mission to transform research through technology- enabling faster, better, connected insights.

Konovo provides healthcare organisations with access to over 2 million healthcare professionals—the largest network of its kind globally. With a workforce of over 200 employees across 5 countries: India, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Kingdom, Mexico, and the United States, we collaborate to support some of the most prominent names in healthcare. Our customers include over 300 global pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, research agencies, and consultancy firms.

As a Senior QA Engineer at Konovo, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of the solutions that power our healthcare intelligence platform. You’ll partner closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to define quality standards, build scalable automation frameworks, and elevate our overall testing strategy.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes ownership from concept through release. You’ll help evolve our approach to automation, API testing, and continuous integration — while mentoring others and shaping best practices across the QA function.

The role is based in our innovative Whitefield, Bengaluru office, with a three-day in-office hybrid schedule designed to foster collaboration and cross-team connection. You’ll join a global team that’s rapidly transforming how healthcare research is delivered and experienced.

If you’re passionate about building high-quality software that supports real-world healthcare innovation, this is an opportunity to make a measurable impact on products used globally.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Take ownership of quality across assigned modules – from test planning and automation to release validation and production monitoring.
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust test automation frameworks (Playwright preferred) integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to define quality goals, acceptance criteria, and automation strategies.
  • Conduct API, performance, and integration testing, ensuring seamless cross-component functionality.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, promoting best practices, automation-first approaches, and a culture of quality ownership.
  • Analyse failures and defects to drive root cause analysis and contribute to system improvements.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives as a proactive voice for quality and technical excellence.
  • Explore and advocate the use of AI/ML in testing, including intelligent test case generation, predictive defect analysis, and automation optimization.
  • Ensure all QA activities align with business priorities, timelines, and release objectives.

 What We’re Looking For:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in QA or software testing, ideally working on complex, scalable, or cloud-based applications.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence quality decisions.
  • Proven ability to work independently and drive automation strategy in an agile environment.
  • A continuous learner with a passion for experimenting with new technologies and improving testing efficiency.

 Tech Stack:

Automation Frameworks: Playwright (must-have), Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent.

API Testing: Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

Performance Testing: JMeter, Gatling, or k6.

Programming Languages: JavaScript, Python, or Java (bonus for multi-language experience).

CI/CD Pipelines: Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD workflows.

Cloud/SaaS Environments: AWS (preferred) or similar.

Databases: SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB/DocumentDB).

Bonus Points for exposure to AI/ML-driven testing or interest in applying intelligent test approaches!

 Why Join Konovo?

  • Be part of a mission-driven organisation that is empowering life science researchers and data scientists with the broadest ecosystem of healthcare audiences and an intelligent, AI-enabled platform — so insights aren't just collected, they're connected.
