Summary/Overview:
Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) is actively seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure Engineering team. This remote role involves occasional travel to our offices and data centers for maintenance. We seek a technical expert with deep on-premises infrastructure experience who can drive innovation. This position is a direct path to a lead role, requiring strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and leadership capabilities to advance within the team.
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the Infrastructure Engineering Team, overseeing the architecture, design, and operational management of our on-premises, co-located, and cloud infrastructure. Your role will involve system builds, process optimization, vulnerability remediation, patch management, and infrastructure changes. Additionally, you will create detailed support documentation and provide technical leadership to strengthen and direct the team.
You will work closely with cross-functional technology teams to enhance system performance, ensure reliability, maintain availability, and drive continuous improvements. Strong problem-solving skills and proactive monitoring of computing platforms will be essential. This role includes participation in an on-call rotation and leadership roles within the team are required.

Successful candidates will possess the following:
- 7+ years of Systems/Infrastructure Engineering experience required
- Computer Science degree or similar work experience required
- Expert level knowledge of the following (THESE ARE MUST HAVES):
- Windows Server 2016/2019/2022
- Windows Active Directory/DNS/DFS/DHCP
- VMware vSphere 7/8
- Enterprise and remote site backup solutions required (Rubrik a plus)
- Disaster Recovery Implementation/Testing (Zerto a plus)
- Enterprise SAN technologies (Pure Storage a plus)
- Automation/Scripting - PowerShell preferred
- Experience directly managing small teams
- Advanced level knowledge of the following:
- Experience working with Public Cloud (AWS/Azure)
- Windows Certificate Authority Infrastructure design and management
- Cisco UCS Hardware (Cisco Intersight managed mode a plus)
- System Monitoring/Alerting
- Physical security systems (Verkada a plus)
- Power Systems Management (UPS sizing, maintenance)
- Additional Preferred Skills:
- Linux knowledge (Ubuntu)
- Network Segmentation Experience (Illumio preferred)
- Secrets Management (Keeper Secrets Manager, AWS Secrets, etc)
- Professional Certifications a plus (Azure, AWS, Microsoft, etc)
Salary Range:
The anticipated annual base salary range for this full-time position is $120,000 to $145,000. Offer amounts are determined by factors such as experience, skills, geography, and other job-related factors.
