We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS Architect to join our banking technology team. The ideal candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for AWS cloud architecture, guiding teams as they migrate applications and accounts to align with our next generation AWS strategy and target architecture patterns.

This role requires deep hands-on technical expertise in AWS, DevSecOps, cyber security, and access management best practices, along with strong leadership capabilities and solution architecture experience. The AWS Architect will play a key role in designing scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions and ensuring smooth software delivery across engineering teams.

Skills: 

  • 7+ years of overall DevOps, SRE or Platform Engineering, including 3+ years in AWS cloud architecture roles.
  • Proven Solution Architecture experience in large-scale cloud transformation efforts.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages: Go, Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to: IAM, Fargate, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation/Terraform, CloudWatch
  • Demonstrated experience with DevSecOps tooling and practices, including CI/CD pipelines and shift-left security
  • In-depth understanding of cloud security, including encryption, key management, access control, and compliance.
  • Ability to lead solution design discussions, articulate architectural decisions, and influence teams across multiple domains.

Preferred:

  • AWS Certification(s) (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional) 
  • Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., financial services or banking)
  • Familiarity with account governance, landing zone patterns, and control frameworks
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
