Senior Product Manager

Position Summary

Lasko is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead a significant and growing product portfolio. This role is ideal for a high-performing product leader who has consistently taken on greater responsibility throughout their career and is ready to influence the future direction of an entire category.

Reporting directly to the Chief Technology & Product Officer, this individual will drive product strategy, innovation, and new product development across multiple product lines. The role will serve as a key catalyst for innovation, balancing internally developed concepts with supplier-led opportunities while ensuring products deliver meaningful consumer value and strong business results.

This is a highly visible leadership role with broad influence across Product Management, Engineering, Industrial Design, Consumer Insights, Sourcing, Sales, and Marketing. While the position does not currently have direct reports, it is expected to establish the pace, rigor, and standards for product development across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Portfolio Leadership

  • Own and drive the strategic direction of a product portfolio
  • Develop and execute multi-year product roadmaps aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to expand market share, improve product performance, and drive profitability.
  • Evaluate category performance, market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to shape future product investments.

Innovation & New Product Development

  • Lead the development and launch of multiple new products annually.
  • Balance a product strategy consisting of both:
    • Ground-up innovation and internally developed concepts.
    • Supplier-developed products that are modified, differentiated, and optimized for Lasko consumers.
  • Drive innovation initiatives through supplier partnerships, technology scouting, consumer research, and internal ideation programs.
  • Organize and participate in innovation workshops, supplier innovation sessions, and cross-functional ideation events.

Consumer & Market Insights

  • Champion the voice of the consumer throughout the product development process.
  • Analyze product reviews, star ratings, customer feedback, returns data, and competitive offerings to identify opportunities for product improvement.
  • Translate consumer insights into actionable product requirements and development priorities.
  • Lead efforts to identify the highest-impact product enhancements that drive customer satisfaction and category growth.

Product Development Leadership

  • Create clear product requirements and business cases for new product opportunities.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Industrial Design, Quality, and Sourcing teams throughout development.
  • Guide suppliers and internal teams in translating consumer needs into product solutions.
  • Influence product architecture, feature prioritization, user experience, and commercialization strategies.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Product Managers responsible for adjacent categories and business segments.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership on product investments and portfolio decisions.
  • Influence teams across Product Management, Category Management, Engineering, Consumer Insights, Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Establish best practices and elevate product management capabilities across the organization.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Product Management, or related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive product management experience for the Senior Product Manager level
  • Experience owning product strategy, roadmaps, and commercialization efforts.
  • Strong ability to translate consumer insights into product requirements and business opportunities.
  • Proven track record of increasing responsibility and leadership throughout career progression.
  • Experience working with global suppliers, OEM/ODM partners, or contract manufacturers.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
  • Experience owning and driving the strategic direction of a product portfolio exceeding $100 million in annual revenue.

Preferred

  • Experience within consumer durables, small appliances, electronics, home products, housewares, HVAC, air treatment, or adjacent categories.
  • Background leading both breakthrough innovation and line-extension/product enhancement initiatives.
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Elevates product management processes and helps set the standard for product excellence across Lasko.
