Video Producer
About the Job:
We’re looking for a talented, hands-on video producer with in-house or agency experience to join our creative team. This is a hybrid role that blends production expertise with storytelling instincts, strategy, and collaboration. You’ll help craft a wide range of internal and external-facing video content—from brand storytelling and educational content to corporate communications, event recaps, social content, sizzle reels, and motion graphics.
This role is part producer, part shooter, part creative thinker—and fully collaborative. You’ll work closely with design, content, and marketing stakeholders across the org, bringing ideas to life from pitch to publish.
Responsibilities:

Manage pipeline of video team projects and requests through ideation, planning, production, editing, and publishing processes.

Generate pitches, storyboards, and production plans for a large variety of video projects based on our content strategy.

Assist with video production and setup.

Camera operation for both studio and run-and-gun shoots

Utilize digital storytelling, photography, motion graphics, and other creative techniques to develop and build valuable content.

Identify ways to strategically repurpose current video assets.

Editing proficiency in tools like Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar.

Follow market trends and help generate clear and engaging content ideas.

Collaborate with design, product marketing, content, and other marketing teams to ensure every video aligns with brand standards and delivers strategic value.

Track video performance and help optimize future content based on data.
Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in video production.

Ability to self-shoot using multiple camera formats (Cinema, Mirrorless, DSLR).

Advanced experience with studio as well as run-and-gun shoots.

Technical knowledge of video processes, camera equipment/settings, and lighting techniques.

Experience managing multiple, fast-turnaround projects.

Organized and disciplined production workflow and file management.

Strong portfolio or reel is a must/preferred, showcasing storytelling, camera operation, and editing.

Familiarity with motion graphics workflows and the ability to collaborate with animators/designers.

Strong communication skills, especially when working with cross-functional teams and execs.

Experience with production tools like Frame.io, Asana, etc.

Bonus if they have tech/SaaS experience, especially relevant to our team environment.

Strong visual storytelling and creative concepting experience.

Creativity and ability to use digital storytelling, photography, animation, motion graphics, and other creative techniques to build valuable content.

Ability to collaborate with instructional designers, copywriters, graphic designers, editors, marketers, and leadership to execute multi-faceted creative concepts.
Pay:
Target pay ranges based on Geographic Zones* for Level 3:
- Zone 1: San Francisco/Bay Area or NYC Metropolitan Area, Boston, Seattle - $106,000 - $145,000**
- Zone 2: Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago - $95,000 - $131,000**
- Zone 3: All other US locations - $90,000 - $124,000**
LaunchDarkly operates from a place of high trust and transparency; we are happy to state the pay range for our open roles to best align with your needs. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
*Within the United States, our geographic pay zones are defined by counties surrounding major metropolitan areas.
**Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, and dental insurance, and mental health benefits in addition to salary.
