Position Summary

We have an immediate opening for a College & Career Specialist in our Scheduling department. In this role, you will ensure students are prepared for high school graduation. This includes but is not limited to ensuring accurate course placements, completion of all graduation requirements, and achievement of college or military entrance requirements. You will be a subject matter expert for all things post-high school.

To excel in this position, you’ll be a people person who enjoys working with others. We need someone passionate about using data and processes to scale student success. We seek a broad thinker who can make suggestions, take constructive feedback with a good attitude and without pushback, and then go out and personally execute with diligence. Job Duties

  1. Serve all stakeholders with integrity, humility, and joy while consistently modeling the importance of both task competency and relationships;
  2. Participate in Company events, activities, and meetings with a smile and an infectious, great attitude;
  3. Master college and career readiness standards in multiple states;
  4. Ensure mechanisms are developed and employed such that the standards are applied across all students;
  5. Complete individual career and academic plans, our portion of college applications, and draft letters of recommendation upon request;
  6. Translate standards into standard operating procedures, workflows, process maps, tools, scripts, and training resources that employees can use to drive high-quality outcomes;
  7. Create and send communications to educate students and parents on important college and career requirements like course and pathway selection, and assessment requirements;
  8. Inform our transcript evaluation process so externally earned credits are properly applied to meet college and career readiness requirements;
  9. Advise families on homeschool and other externally earned credits;
  10. Support families with questions about NCAA eligibility and ensure related processes are followed;
  11. Educate families on post-graduation topics like career-related certifications, college admissions and financial aid, military pathways, and career-related certifications; and
  12. All other duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Strong interpersonal skills with the demonstrated ability to consistently lead and serve others with humility, kindness, empathy, and joy;
  2. Able to establish rapport, gain commitment, and provide a high level of support to customers, internal and external;
  3. Mastery of the systems, processes, and positions involved in effective student scheduling;
  4. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-energy, entrepreneurial, team environment while juggling multiple tasks and priorities;
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Knowledge of college and career readiness requirements for K-12 education institutions;
  7. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-energy, team environment and juggle multiple tasks; and
  8. Advanced ability to use data to inform student advising, course selection and progress monitoring.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience;
  2. Minimum of two (2) years of related professional experience;
  3. Minimum of one (1) year of experience counseling or advising high-school age students;
  4. Minimum of one (1) year of experience with student information systems, customer relationship management systems (Salesforce), state educational reporting systems, or a relevant combination thereof;
  5. Strong analytical skills;
  6. Strong experience with Mac OS, Google Workspace, and Asana preferred;
  7. Private, distraction-free, professional remote work environment with high-speed internet; and
  8. Ability to pass required background checks.

Base Pay Range

$45,000 - $55,000 USD
