What is the role about?
As the Team Lead Accounts Receivable, you will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the Accounts Receivable (AR) team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of receipts, and maintaining strong customer relationships. You will act as the primary point of contact for AR-related issues, while supporting and coaching your team to ensure high performance and continuous development. Working closely with the Group Controller, you will help manage the end-to-end AR process, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial policies.
This role plays a vital part in ensuring the organization's financial health and operational effectiveness. You will support the Finance function by driving efficient accounts receivable processes and maintaining high-quality standards in customer financial transactions. Your proactive approach in resolving issues and improving processes contributes directly to customer satisfaction and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, mentor, and train new and existing AR team members to improve performance and develop skills.
- Coordinate daily operations within the Accounts Receivable team and serve as the first point of contact for any operational or procedural issues.
- Process customer receipts and maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records
- Manage the collection process, and ensure timely payments in accordance with the collection work list.
- Resolve customer queries related to invoices, payments, and account balances.
- Monitor and follow up on external collection agency cases and customer disputes.
- Assess customer creditworthiness in accordance with the company’s Credit Risk Management Process.
Requirements:
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable or a similar financial role
- Solid understanding of AR processes and credit control principles
- Proficiency with financial systems and MS Office applications (especially Excel)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Experience with SAP is a plus
- Customer-focused with a solution-oriented approach
- Prior team lead experience is a plus
