Datacenter Operations Engineer – Infrastructure team

This is a hardware-focused role for our day team in Haarlem, providing colocation, bare metal and cloud services.
What is the role about?
You will be responsible for assembling, delivering and maintaining the Datacenter infrastructure (hardware, software and connectivity) of internal and external customers. You will be also responsible for the quality of all technical aspects within the Datacenter Operations team.

- Deploy and maintain servers, private racks, colocation spaces, and other critical infrastructure.
- Perform Windows and Linux server installations, including hardware and software configuration.
- Manage hardware and software updates to ensure optimal performance.
- Handle server recovery, troubleshooting, and testing.
- Oversee hardware and spare parts replacements.
- Resolve technical support tickets and collaborate closely with Level 1 support.
- Maintain detailed documentation based on client and company requirements.
- Support projects related to provisioning new servers or relocating existing ones.
- Coordinate with other datacenter teams within Leaseweb to ensure seamless operations.
What we’re looking for:
You have a strong IT background, understand datacenter environments, and are flexible to work in shifts.
- Hands-on experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, or Supermicro preferred).
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with server building, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to communicate effectively both internally with different teams and departments as well as with customers
- A problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts.
- Driver’s License and eligibility to work in the Netherlands.
