Legend Biotech is seeking a Sr. Associate Scientist/ Associate Scientist- Downstream Process as part of the Vector Biology team based in Philadelphia, PA.
Role Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture lentiviral vector (LVV) using suspension cell lines in shake flasks
- Perform downstream purification with preclinical and industrial scales
- Test downstream processes (DSP), optimize, and help to lock-in final DSP starting from cell clarification, column chromatography, TFF/diafliltration, and sterile filtration
- Perform manual fill/finish operations for final LVV products
- Support LVV production for internal research teams
- Independently plan, conduct, analyze, and report experimental data, contributing to future technology transfer activities
- Collaborate closely with the upstream process team and LVV analytical team
Requirements
- BS degree with 3+ years of industry experience; MS degree with 2+ years industry experience
- Hands-on experience in lentiviral vector production
- Proficiency with DSP equipment such as HPLC/FPLC (e.g. AKTA) and TFF (e.g. KrosFlo) systems
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced biotech environment and effectively prioritize workload

The anticipated base pay range for this is: $81,273 - $111,750 USD.
