Job Summary:
Lendz Financial is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Lock Desk Specialist to join our growing team. This role is critical to supporting our daily loan operations by managing lock requests, ensuring pricing accuracy, and maintaining compliance with investor requirements across all lending channels. This position can be remote, hybrid, or onsite, depending on business needs and candidate location. The ideal individual will have a strong understanding of residential mortgage processes, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process and track loan lock requests submitted via phone or email across retail, correspondent, wholesale, and delegated channels.
- Verify lock pricing, investor selection, and all applicable loan-level price adjustments (LLPAs).
- Provide accurate pricing scenarios to loan officers or correspondent partners based on product and investor guidelines.
- Manage re-pricing of locked loans when applicable changes occur during the loan lifecycle.
- Monitor expiring loan locks and handle extensions or cancellations as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of investor requirements and ensure adherence to pricing and delivery standards.
- Ensure data integrity within the loan origination system (LOS) and flag discrepancies that may affect timely loan delivery.
- Identify and address process inefficiencies that impact investor delivery and purchase timelines.
- Confirm the accuracy of investor delivery documentation including notes, allonges, and assignments.
Qualifications:
- General knowledge of residential mortgage processes and loan origination.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially in high-volume environments.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel); experience with loan origination systems preferred.
- Ability to identify and communicate technical information clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
