Job Summary:
Lendz Financial is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lock Desk Manager to lead our lock desk team and play a pivotal role in our fast-growing mortgage operations. This position is based in our Fort Lauderdale office, with the flexibility to work from home one day per week.

As Lock Desk Manager, you will oversee a small team of specialists, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all lock desk functions. This is a leadership role that combines team management with hands-on expertise—you’ll guide and mentor your team while also jumping in to handle lock desk duties when needed, and will collaborate closely with the sales team to address questions, resolve escalations, and ensure seamless communication across departments.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoy leading teams to success while staying connected to day-to-day operations, this is the perfect role for you.

This is an in-office position at our Fort Lauderdale headquarters, offering the flexibility to work from home one day each week.

What You'll Do:

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of lock desk specialists, providing ongoing training and feedback.
  • Oversee daily lock desk workflow to ensure lock requests, re-pricing, and extensions are handled quickly and accurately.
  • Set and monitor team performance metrics (KPIs), ensuring service levels and compliance standards are consistently met.
  • Partner closely with secondary marketing, operations, and sales leadership to streamline processes and resolve escalated issues.
  • Communicate market and investor updates to the team, ensuring timely adoption of changes.
  • Identify process gaps and implement solutions to boost efficiency and accuracy.

Hands-On Lock Desk Duties

  • Jump in as needed to process and track loan lock requests across retail, correspondent, wholesale, and delegated channels.
  • Verify lock pricing, investor selection, and loan-level price adjustments (LLPAs).
  • Provide accurate pricing scenarios to loan officers and correspondent partners based on product and investor guidelines.
  • Manage re-pricing, monitor expiring locks, and handle extensions or cancellations.
  • Ensure data integrity in the loan origination system (LOS) and resolve any discrepancies affecting timely loan delivery.
  • Confirm the accuracy of investor delivery documentation including notes, allonges, and assignments.
  • Work closely with multiple Product Pricing Engines (OptimalBlue, LenderPrice, LoanPass) to maintain accuracy and quickly handle discrepancies.
  • Provide guidance to the Lock Desk team and Sales team on pricing scenarios and concession requests.

What We're Looking For:

  • 5+ years of experience in lock desk, secondary marketing, or mortgage operations.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role preferred.
  • Deep understanding of residential mortgage pricing, lock policies, and investor guidelines.
  • A hands-on leader who can balance management duties with operational support.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with loan origination systems is a plus.
  • High level experience with PPEs such as OptimalBlue, LenderPrice and LoanPass is a plus.

Why Join Lendz?

  • Competitive pay and benefits package.
  • Highly subsidized medical insurance, plus low-cost dental and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) program.
  • Health Savings Account (HSA).
  • Generous PTO and company holidays.
  • Professional growth and development opportunities.
  • A collaborative, friendly work environment in our Fort Lauderdale office—with one remote day per week for added flexibility.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
