Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our growing team and help drive the adoption of our cutting-edge Private 5G and ORAN (Open Radio Access Network) solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an innovative product offering that is reshaping the future of telecommunications infrastructure.

 

Job Summary:

The Private 5G Sales Engineer (ORAN Network Solutions) will be responsible for driving the sales of our Private 5G and ORAN-based network products to enterprises, system integrators, and other partners. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of ORAN and 5G technologies with excellent sales acumen, acting as the technical advisor and trusted partner for customers throughout the sales process.

This role involves technical pre-sales support, customer presentations, demonstrations, and technical account management. You will collaborate closely with sales teams, product managers, and network engineers to deliver tailored solutions that meet customer needs.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Support & Strategy:
    • Act as the technical subject matter expert (SME) for Private 5G and ORAN-based network products during the sales process.
    • Work with sales teams to identify opportunities and support the development of sales strategies for Private 5G solutions.
    • Provide technical presentations and product demos to potential customers, highlighting the advantages of ORAN and Private 5G for enterprise and industrial applications.
    • Help develop customized proposals, business cases, and ROI analyses for clients.
  • Solution Design & Technical Expertise:
    • Collaborate with customers to understand their specific network requirements and design tailored ORAN solutions.
    • Provide architectural guidance for Private 5G network deployment, integration, and optimization.
    • Guide customers on the technical benefits of ORAN for Private Wireless systems
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Building:
    • Engage with key decision-makers system integrators and enterprises
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers by providing technical advice and insights.
    • Lead technical conversations, addressing customer concerns and ensuring the alignment of solution offerings with customer needs.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams:
    • Work closely with product management, engineering, and operations teams to ensure a seamless handoff from the sales process to deployment.
    • Provide feedback on customer requirements and competitive intelligence to influence product development.
  • Training & Enablement:
    • Provide internal training to the sales team on the technical aspects of the ORAN network products and solutions.
    • Assist in the development of technical documentation, case studies, and other sales collateral.
  • Market Awareness:
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends, technologies, and competitors within the 5G and ORAN ecosystem.
    • Support the development of go-to-market strategies, ensuring the company is well-positioned within the rapidly evolving 5G space.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical sales engineering, with a focus on telecommunications, Private 5G and ORAN-based solutions.
    • Experience in Private 5G networks, ORAN architecture, and related technologies.
    • Proven track record of selling complex technical products and solutions to enterprise clients, service providers, or telecom operators.
    • Strong understanding of 5G RAN (Radio Access Network), 5G core network components, and ORAN standards.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Deep technical knowledge of ORAN architecture and components and interfaces.
    • Experience with network design, deployment, integration, and optimization in 5G environments.
    • Strong understanding of networking protocols, IP, and transport layer technologies.
  • Sales & Communication Skills:
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling customer presentations.
    • Ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-level executives and engineers.
    • Strong negotiation, presentation, and customer-facing skills.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Certifications (optional but a plus):
    • Certifications in 5G, ORAN, and related telecom technologies (e.g., O-RAN Alliance certifications, CBRS Certified Professional Installer).

Compensation: Please note, the salary range listed for this position is broad because we are flexible on the level this person will be hired at. The salary range offered will depend on the experience level of the candidate hired. In addition to the base salary range listed below, this role also includes a performance-based incentive bonus plan.

Location: this is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the US.

$115,000 - $218,000 USD
