POSITION SUMMARY:

We are hiring a Vice President, Head of Product Management to own product strategy and execution at Libertas. This is an executive pillar leader, responsible for translating business needs, spanning underwriting, credit policy, servicing, collections, and accounting operations, into a clear, sequenced roadmap; defining what we build and why; and ensuring engineering investment is aimed at the highest-value outcomes.

The role sits alongside engineering: Product defines the what and the why, Engineering owns the how. It partners closely with engineering, PMO, underwriters, processors, collections, and the executive team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Vision & strategy: Product vision and strategy across the Libertas portfolio, grounded in market, customer, and competitive insight, including a clear point of view on sequencing platform modernization against new capabilities.
  • Roadmap & prioritization: The product roadmap and prioritization, sequencing what gets built by balancing user value, business impact, feasibility, and the right pace of legacy-to-modern platform enhancements.
  • Requirements: Requirements definition and the business case for product investment, in clear partnership with engineering and the business. This includes translating complex underwriting, credit-risk and regulatory logic into precise, unambiguous specifications that engineering can build against.
  • Discovery: Discovery and validation, including research, problem definition, and direct grounding in how underwriters, processors, collections actually use the platform.
  • Outcomes: Product performance, by defining success metrics and holding the portfolio accountable to outcomes, including ownership of release sequencing and go-to-market timing as features move from deployed to released.
  • Team leadership: Building and leading the product management function as Libertas scales.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 12+ years in product management with senior leadership experience, ideally in specialty or commercial lending, fintech, financial services, or B2B SaaS.
  • A track record of owning product strategy and roadmap for a meaningful product line, with demonstrable business outcomes, including experience navigating a legacy-to-modern platform transition and making disciplined calls between technical debt, gap closure, and new capability.
  • Strong partnership instincts with engineering.
  • Deep customer empathy and the ability to translate complex, relationship-driven, credit-intensive business needs into clear product direction.
  • Comfort operating at the executive level, influencing across the leadership team and representing product in strategic decisions.
  • Familiarity with regulated financial-services dynamics - commercial lending, credit risk workflows, and control environments such as SOC 1/SOC 2 is strongly preferred.

Education Requirements/Additional Preferences:

  • Required Years of Work Experience: 15+ years in product management, including senior product leadership in a fintech, financial-services, or B2B SaaS environment
  • Education/Experience: College degree or equivalent work experience.

We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
