About the Job
We’re looking for a driven Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for close activities, manage reconciliations and accruals, support variance analysis and allocations, and drive process improvements across our financial operations
The US-based salary range for this position is $99,000 to $145,500. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.
What You’ll Do
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close to ensure timely, accurate financial reporting, while driving continuous improvement and reducing close timelines.
- Prepare, review, and maintain account reconciliations and the general ledger to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Analyze MoM/BvA variances with department leads and vendors, uncovering root causes and provide insights.
- Review, validate, and record accruals in collaboration with cross-functional teams to confirm completeness, accuracy, and resolve any variance.
- Manage expense allocations to ensure accurate distribution of costs across accounts, projects, and COGS.
- Track and amortize prepaid expenses to ensure timely and accurate recognition.
- Review transactions and vendor agreements and to determine proper technical accounting treatment in line with GAAP, validate supporting documentation, and serve as a point of contact for accounting inquiries.
- Drive initiatives to automate and streamline reconciliations, reporting, and close activities to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure audit readiness and SOX compliance by preparing schedules, addressing inquiries, and escalating control deficiencies.
- Lead and support special projects including system upgrades, process enhancements, and cross-functional finance initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)
- Team oriented, highly motivated with a strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a high growth environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- High attention to detail
- Experience working in a public company a plus
- Effective communication skills; proactive and adaptable mindset.
- Advanced Excel skills; NetSuite and reporting tools a plus.
