We are AI Native

We are building an AI native company where AI is an integral part of how we build and operate. AI tool usage during interviews varies by role. You may be asked to demonstrate proficiency with AI tools, discuss how you leverage AI, or complete interview exercises without AI assistance. Your Recruiter will provide clear guidance as you move through the interview process.

Undisclosed use of AI not previously discussed with or approved by your Recruiter may impact your candidacy.

About The Team

The Information Security and Technology team is responsible for keeping Life360 safe — our systems, our employees, and the tens of millions of families who trust us with their location data. That obligation is the starting point. How we meet it is what makes this team different.

We are builders. Security controls that don't get used aren't controls. Compliance programs that create friction without reducing risk aren't programs. We build things that work in production, earn adoption from engineering teams, and get better over time — and we use AI to do it at a scale a traditional team couldn't.

We're also at an inflection point. Life360 is deploying agentic systems into how we build and operate, and the security and governance implications of that are still being worked out — by us, and by the industry. The threat surface is expanding. The compliance frameworks are catching up. The people on this team aren't waiting for either.

About the Job

As a Senior Enterprise Security Engineer, you'll be a technical owner of the controls that protect every employee, contractor, and device interacting with Life360 systems — endpoint, SaaS, identity, and zero trust. This is a builder role: you design, deploy, and operate the preventative controls that reduce the attack surface before anything reaches Detection & Response.

You'll partner closely with IT Engineering, GRC, and the broader security team. With IT, you'll co-own fleet management, device hardening, and the day-to-day health of the endpoint estate. With GRC, you'll engineer controls and evidence pipelines that satisfy SOC 2, ISO 27001, and privacy requirements. With D&R, you'll own the telemetry side of the partnership — making sure corporate systems (Kandji, Intune, Slack, Box, Google Workspace, Okta) emit what they need for detection, without owning the detection logic or incident response yourself.

You'll also own Life360's security awareness program end-to-end, and you'll use AI as a force multiplier across all of it — directing agent-assisted workflows for endpoint, SaaS, and awareness work, with appropriate guardrails on anything touching sensitive data or production.

We're at an inflection point. Life360 is deploying agentic systems into how we build and operate, and the security and governance implications are still being worked out — by us, and by the industry. We're not waiting.

We use AI tools as a professional standard on this team. Here's what that means in practice.

Ai-Native Daily use: You use AI tools for real, substantive work — analysis, drafting, automation, code, investigations, evidence gathering.

Judgment and ownership: AI-generated work gets the same scrutiny you'd give any human-produced artifact. You're accountable for everything you ship.

Domain-specific judgment: You know where AI is the wrong tool. Sensitive data handling, attacker-controlled inputs, agents with production access, and privileged identity changes all need careful guardrails — and you can articulate where AI helps, where it hurts, and where it needs a human in the loop.

Leverage: When AI is working well, you take on problems that would otherwise require a larger team. We hire people who use that leverage to ship better outcomes, not just faster ones.

Continuous learning: The tooling moves fast. You stay current, share what works with the team, and speak up when something would meaningfully change how we operate.

The US-based salary range for this position is $152,000 to $224,000. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop systems and tools that improve the security posture of Life360's DLP, device hardening, SaaS, and zero trust layers
  • Execute security strategy and policy for Life360-built services and SaaS applications
  • Review and provide architectural guidance on infrastructure systems, fleet management, and automation
  • Own EDR agent deployment health and coverage across the endpoint fleet, ensuring CrowdStrike Falcon agents are installed, current, and correctly configured on every managed device; identify and close coverage gaps in partnership with IT and D&R
  • Partner with D&R on log source enablement, ensuring corporate systems (Kandji, Intune, Slack, Box, Google Workspace) emit the telemetry D&R needs for detection and investigation, without owning the detection logic itself
  • Build and operate agent-assisted workflows that take action across endpoint, SaaS, and awareness domains — directing AI more than doing the work by hand, with appropriate guardrails on anything that touches sensitive data or production systems
  • Automate the boring parts using Python, Tray.io, Lambda, and AI agents to eliminate manual toil across endpoint, SaaS, and corporate security workflows
  • Engineer controls that satisfy SOC 2 and privacy requirements across device and SaaS layers, partnering with GRC on evidence collection and audit readiness
  • Own the security awareness program end-to-end, including developing and delivering training, running phishing simulations, tracking and reporting metrics, and continuously improving the program to drive measurable behavior change

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years in security engineering with deep hands-on ownership of endpoint security (Kandji/Intune/Jamf/CrowdStrike), SaaS security, or DLP
  • Hands-on AWS security experience, including IAM policies, CloudTrail. You can investigate cloud activity end-to-end and design guardrails that actually hold
  • Advanced knowledge of operating systems with core competency in two or more of: device hardening (macOS, Windows), SaaS security, DLP, or assurance and validation
  • Experience securing corporate email infrastructure, including SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and anti-phishing controls in Google Workspace or equivalent
  • Experience designing and operating zero trust access controls, including device trust signals, conditional access, and contextual access policies
  • Proven track record driving the implementation of preventative controls
  • Experience managing EDR fleet health at scale, including agent deployment, version currency, policy compliance, and coverage gap remediation (CrowdStrike Falcon preferred)
  • Fluent AI user. You use Claude, Cursor, Claude Code, or equivalent as a daily driver; you know when to trust an LLM output and when not to; you've shipped automations or agents that actually work in production
  • Comfortable building with APIs and MCP, not just configuring GUIs
  • Clear, direct communicator who pushes back on risk and drives alignment with IT, Engineering, and leadership
  • Strong collaborator who prioritizes ruthlessly and operates independently under minimal supervision
  • Bias for engineering over ticketing; zero-trust mindset grounded in pragmatism
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Nice to Have

  • OSCP, GIAC or equivalent advanced certs
  • Experience building agent-assisted security workflows with MCP servers
  • Experience with DLP tooling
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF)

Our Benefits

  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans (100% paid for employees)
  • 401(k) plan with company matching program
  • Mental Wellness Program & Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental well-being
  • Flexible PTO, 13 company-wide days off throughout the year
  • Winter and Summer Weeklong Synchronized Company Shutdowns
  • Learning & Development programs
  • Equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote environment
  • Free Life360 Platinum Membership for your preferred circle
  • Free Tile Products

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
