About the Role 💡

We’re looking for a versatile Infrastructure Engineer (SRE/Python) to join our Technology team in Sydney. You’ll play a critical role in supporting our high-frequency trading infrastructure, as well as broader systems including analytics, back-office, and development environments.

Following modern SRE and DevOps principles, you’ll focus on automation, reliability, and system-wide improvements. You’ll also work closely with developers and business teams to ensure infrastructure is scalable, secure, and resilient.

Your Mission at Life Trading 🎯

Infrastructure & Reliability:

• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation for provisioning and management
• Manage CI/CD pipelines to support rapid, reliable application delivery
• Monitor system reliability using SLIs/SLOs and participate in incident response
• Conduct post-mortem analysis to drive continuous improvement
• Support trading, back-office, analytics, and development/test environments

Collaboration & Improvement:

• Work with development teams to optimise deployment processes
• Implement infrastructure-as-code best practices using Terraform
• Contribute to capacity planning and scaling decisions
• Maintain strong change management discipline while proactively improving systems
  
  

What We’re Looking For 👀

• 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles
• Strong Linux administration skills
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, or similar)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)
• Knowledge of CI/CD principles and container orchestration (Nomad, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and version control (Git workflows)
• Networking fundamentals and configuration management experience (Ansible, Salt Stack)
• Understanding of deployment strategies, release management, and system reliability principles
