Recovery Housing Support Specialist

Lighthouse Recovery Housing is seeking a compassionate and reliable Recovery Housing Support Specialist to support residents in our Level 3 recovery housing program. This role is essential in fostering a safe, supportive, and recovery-oriented environment for individuals transitioning toward independent living.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and orient new residents, clearly outlining program rules and expectations.
  • Act as a liaison between residents, staff, and external service providers.
  • Facilitate weekly house meetings to address challenges, share information, and support recovery planning.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe, structured, and prosocial living environment.
  • Provide availability for resident support, including during overnight and weekend shifts.
  • Assist with medication counts and support daily living activities.
  • Help residents access vital services, including medical, social, vocational, educational, and criminal justice resources.
  • Support residents in obtaining housing, employment, food, clothing, and financial assistance.
  • Coordinate assessments and treatment planning, and facilitate connections to community resources and support groups.
  • Assist residents in building social support networks and planning their transition to independent living.
  • Respond effectively during crises, including relapses, and advocate for residents' needs.
  • Complete documentation in accordance with LRH policies and relevant requirements.
  • Participate in team meetings and community engagement efforts to uphold the mission and image of Lighthouse.

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead by example and model recovery principles and prosocial behavior.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between multiple locations.
  • Experience in recovery services, social services, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and access to a reliable personal vehicle
  • Must pass BCI check, all Corporate Compliance checks, and employment drug screen
  • Age 25 years or older

Preferred Experience/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • CDCA certification

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 4pm - 12am or Tuesday - Saturday 4pm - 12am 

(hours and days may vary depending on business need)

Compensation Range: $19.25 - $24.39
