The Content Manager is pivotal in developing and executing a content strategy that positions Lightspeed as the industry leader, educates our audiences, and generates demand. This role requires a mix of strategic thinking, creative storytelling, and analytical skills to craft compelling content across multiple formats, including blog posts, case studies, white papers, email campaigns, website copy, and social media. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with experience in SaaS marketing and a deep understanding of content’s role in driving engagement and conversions.  The ideal candidate would also have experience with outdoor recreational industry.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and execute a content strategy aligned with business goals, target audience needs, and industry trends.
  • Own the content calendar and ensure timely production of high-quality content across blogs, website, social media, email, and other digital channels.
  • Create compelling and engaging content, including blog posts, white papers, eBooks, case studies, email marketing copy, product marketing assets, and sales enablement materials.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, product marketing, sales, and customer success teams to develop industry-leading content.
  • Conduct interviews with Lightspeed dealers to produce Dealer Spotlights and dealership success stories.
  • Manage the Lightspeed blog and oversee content updates on the website.
  • Develop and maintain brand voice, tone, and messaging consistency across all content.
  • Track, measure, and analyze content performance, making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Work with external writers, designers, and agencies as needed to scale content production.

What you'll have:

  • 4+ years of experience in content marketing, copywriting, or related roles within a SaaS or technology company.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex topics and make them engaging.
  • Experience with content marketing strategies, SEO, and demand generation tactics.
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, HubSpot, WordPress, and social media scheduling platforms.
  • Proven ability to create content that drives engagement and conversions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for storytelling and creating impactful brand experiences.
  • Knowledge of the powersports, marine, RV, trailer, or golf industries is a plus but not required.
